comes from my much maligned Paddy Roberts source.
What's this?
Lad who told me Paddy wouldn't be signing permanently during his first spell here. For which I got roundly pilloried. He's involved with Man City though, so not sure how he knows of an impending bid from Wolves... Wolves have a silly amount of money to spend. Wouldn’t be surprised if they were to bid and offer us Barry Douglas as part of the deal.

At least Everton have a wee bit of history behind them. Proper community club, too. I'm pretty sure the players are obligated to spend a certain number of hours per month volunteering with local charities.
There are worse clubs, I suppose.

Wolves have won 3 championships,4 FA Cups and 2 league cups. It is a bit of history right enough. Yes, that's fair enough. My point was related to money, and the recent massive injection of cash combined with the Jorge Mendes 'relationship', which seems a bit murky, but never mind.
Although I suppose you could say that about any Premier League Club these days (outwith the big 6).

People are going to some great lengths to shift the blame away from the board. Tierney could break his leg half a year into his Everton contract, so surely he should be pushing for a move to a mega-bucks Chinese team?
I'm not PL's biggest fan but how are they to blame for this ? If they get a bid of £30M and they say to the player its up to you if you want to move, then IMHO they are being fair. It would be one thing if they were actively looking for the move but in this case I suspect they aren't. What is worrying is the lack of strengthening going on elsewhere. If we were to lose Tierney - irrespective of how much we get for him - it will be a blow. The fact that there doesn't appear to be much happening on the horizon vis a vis right back and centre half (never mind finding a new left back) makes it even worse.
Correct, PL and the board wouldnt be doing their job if they kicked out bids of over 20m+ for our players. The final call will be with KT, but the board have to accept bids that meet or exceed our valuations. We don’t have to or need to accept any bid for,in my opinion, our best player. If we were offered £40M for Tierney I would knock it back and obviously tell Tierney we had knocked it back then the ball would be in Tierney court whether he would want to leave or not.Ovbiously if he said he wanted to leave then of course that changes things as it would be stupid to keep an unhappy player. For celtic we make more money from getting into the champions league group stages than selling players and if we sell our best players we’re less likely to get into the group stages. We could keep him for 4 yrs and then probably sell him for more money than we would get for him now.It would also make Rodgers less likely to stay.Even domestically sevco are spending money so they will probably be stronger than last season and although I doubt they’ll challenge us it would be complacent to sell our best player.
