Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
FFS
4 qualifiers now and the 3rd and 4th round could be really difficult. It's getting harder every year. We can't be expected to qualify every year. Even MON failed at it before
At least we've got you to keep our spirits up and the optimism at Factor 10 though eh ?

Hope you tipped Germany for the world cup .

:)

So when will you allow KT to move with his ubertim reputation intact?
I don't know. Another year of quotes about staying long term after signing a six year deal and telling everybody how he's just a fan and he's living the dream could mean I'd think the exact same next summer.
Kieran Tierney is a really good footballer but he's not at the stage where he is doing us a favour sticking around or he is past criticism. If, and I know it is an if, he has had his head turned after all his posturing it is poor behaviour from him and if it was another guy in our squad he'd be getting pelters.
Jesus

'UberTim' or otherwise if a bid comes in at a price the club cannot turn down and when allowed to speak with him the bidding club offers terms that he cannot turn down then he will go and that is just life, 'bad behavior' doesn't come into it, its his career and the guy is entitled to do as well as he possibly can for himself.

I think he'll go but not until the last weeks of the window.

Celtic better have a plan. Some supporters are going to need emotion rettachment surgery after this.

I am not convinced (as yet) that this is happening this season. So I will wait and see if he is off or not. For what it is worth even when he signed his extension I still thought he would be away in two seasons as either he would want to go or we would cash in.

But as someone who has been firmly in the panty wetting brigade (copyright KDS) for the last few seasons, this all proves the point that many of us have been making. We have needed strengthening across the whole defence for the last four windows at least.

We have needed a backup at left back that whole time. If we had bought one we would know that we had someone in place who get us through at least the first two qualifying rounds while we tried to recruit a replacement if KT goes. As it is we are all now worrying who we can play if he goes.

And if we sell and go out early we won't really have made a single penny on the transfer unless we go really deep in the Europa League.
We’ve got Hayes. He can play left back. :ph43r:

Check my post history and you'll see I might have mentioned that one ;)

Well, its been posted that Stuart Armstrong (a noted mercenary) will come out of the two respective transfers in a better light.

The inference is clear.
Didn't you say it was taking it too far to compare KT to Armstrong, who you then referred to as a mercenary?

The only inference is that they're acting exactly the same, while you seem to see some difference.
They are hardly acting the same, ffs.

Tierney signed a long term contract which maximises the fee we get, if he goes.

Stuart Armstrong signed his typically short contract followed by a 12 month extension leaving the ball in his court (as he did at Dundee Utd).

The way it is being suggested on here it isn't the club pushing for this so thats what I am basing my views on. I'm no daft enough to take everything on here as gospel but am passing time cause this Croatia game is crap. If it turns out the club are pushing him out my opinion changes. If it is crazy money both parties are offered my opinion changes. If he stays my opinon changes. This is just a snapshot of what I am thinking on a Sunday night.

I was talking about Armstrong. Everyone knew we were just a stepping stone for him. KT was giving it I could be a one man club.

Something about this scenario seems a bit odd.

Participation in CL group stage will be worth c.£30m next season.

3 of our first team starters are at World Cup - 2 still participating are 1st choice defenders. Lawwell and Rodgers would need to be idiots to push for a £25m transfer that could jeopardise CL money, especially when we are relatively cash rich.
