One claims to be Celtic daft and says he isnt going anywhere only to move while the other isn't a Celtic fan and is pretty up front about wanting to play in England. Who's behaviour do you think is better? That is only if Tierney moves this summer.
So when will you allow KT to move with his ubertim reputation intact? I don't know. Another year of quotes about staying long term after signing a six year deal and telling everybody how he's just a fan and he's living the dream could mean I'd think the exact same next summer. Kieran Tierney is a really good footballer but he's not at the stage where he is doing us a favour sticking around or he is past criticism. If, and I know it is an if, he has had his head turned after all his posturing it is poor behaviour from him and if it was another guy in our squad he'd be getting pelters.

We’d have no left back at the club with CL qualification coming up. If we end up going into this with a back three of Hendry ajer and simunovic after two years of CL money that’s a big problem We won't be qualifying, so it'll be quite a short problem.

Love for Celtic is all well and good but when you are having a 50 or 60 grand a week cheque waved in front of your face on a contract which will make you a multi millionaire by the age of 27... all bets are off. If he goes he will go with my thanks - a good player who gave us four good seasons and made us a lot of money. He'll always be one of us.
That's my position too. Read a blog/article by Tam McManus at some point and (paraphrasing) he said any youth player moving from a Scottish club for major sums should get a medal from the selling club. Either way, KT leaves Celtic with a helluva legacy. PS. I would like him to stay until the 10, but if the move comes this summer so be it. The days of taking these things personally should surely be long over. As our own manager continuously point's out - a footballer has a very limited number of wage packets and he has to make them count. A five year deal might be worth £15m to Tierney and his family. Good luck to them I say. His love for Celtic is genuine - I'd be annoyed if he was doing a Liam Miller and walking away for nowt but by signing that contract he ensured Celtic would be quids in if and when we sold him.

I'd imagine they'll want to pull the hand off anyone who offers £25m for a home-grown player.
Is he still a mercenary if Celtic want him to go?

Mercenary? He is a professional footballer. It’s his job.
I'm not convinced all players operate like Armstrong. They'll have played in the first team for about the same amount of time and left at the first sniff of cash at the earliest opportunity.
There is absolutely no difference in their behaviour, except one of them would apparently be in the stand watching us if he wasn't pure living tge dream on the pitch.

The differential in wages between Scotland and England means ALL Celtic players are potentially for sale.
Most of us accepted it long ago and where we are at in the grand scheme of things.

The inference is clear.

We’re reaching the champions league group stages so we don’t need to sell anyone.I don’t mind selling a player who wants to leave but I don’t think Tierney does.If we sell him then it’s more likely that other players will see a lack of ambition by celtic and are more likely to want to leave as well.We could keep him for another 4 seasons then sell him for a lot more money unless he regresses which doesn’t look likely.
You learn something new every day here. I thought we had 4 qualifiers to play. I’ll book my 3 match package now. BTW if Tierney wants to stay he just needs to say... ‘I’m staying’. Nobody is going to tie him up in the boot of a car and drive home to Tottenham or wherever. I was meaning under Brendan Rodgers we are reaching CL group stages I didn’t say we are certain to do it this season though we’ve got a lot better chance with Tierney in the side.Players can say what they want but I think signing a 6 yr contract says more than a thousand words.

I am not convinced (as yet) that this is happening this season. So I will wait and see if he is off or not. For what it is worth even when he signed his extension I still thought he would be away in two seasons as either he would want to go or we would cash in.
But as someone who has been firmly in the panty wetting brigade (copyright KDS) for the last few seasons, this all proves the point that many of us have been making. We have needed strengthening across the whole defence for the last four windows at least.
We have needed a backup at left back that whole time. If we had bought one we would know that we had someone in place who get us through at least the first two qualifying rounds while we tried to recruit a replacement if KT goes. As it is we are all now worrying who we can play if he goes.
And if we sell and go out early we won't really have made a single penny on the transfer unless we go really deep in the Europa League.

FFS 4 qualifiers now and the 3rd and 4th round could be really difficult. It's getting harder every year. We can't be expected to qualify every year. Even MON failed at it before

No. You are trying to paint it that way cause you have a wee thing about Armstrong and his behaviour. Others will read it for what it is. They might disagree with it but most won't scew it to suit.

The only inference is that they're acting exactly the same, while you seem to see some difference.
