McGrain played before my time, but am I right in saying he was the best full back in the world at one point?

Kieran Tierney is doing great at the moment and all the signs are encouraging however I don't think we should get too carried away yet, many players have showed great potential at 18 and gone on to do the square root of eff all in their careers. Got a good feeling this won't be the case with Tierney though. :)
Incredible player. Always seemed to win tackles due technique and power. The word legend is overused nowadays, Danny was and is the real deal. :worthy:
Young Kieran had a real chance to be a great player if his first season is anything to go by.

He has his head screwed on. If he continues to keep it that way then he could be a Great.

Tierney must be the first player in a long time to make their debut then almost immediately become first pick for the position, granted Izzy has his flaws but he aint no Mo Camara or Lee Naylor either.

£10m price tag and comparisons to McGrain. That'll help the young fella :ffs:
I'm sure he's checking this thread every day

He will be sold if we don't make the champions league and a big enough offer comes in on the last day of the window. The past few years we have had Forsters, Van Dijks, Wanyamas, McGeady's to sell, this is the first season in a long while that we don't even have a £3 asset to punt.

I think the board were hoping Biton and Johansen would have another good season, to increase there value but even they have went backwards.

Between the first team, management team and boardroom there must be nigh on 100 employees.

About 3 of them can be proud of the job they've done this season. He's one of the 3. He's 18 years old.

But all those players you mention (Other than Aiden) wanted to leave , I accept the Club were happy that selling them got them out of a £15 million black hole the last 2 seasons but get the impression Tierney is sensible enough to want to stick around for a few seasons at least.

Says everything about our squad and signing policy, when an 18 year old with a dozen decent games under his belt is seen as our top target for being picked up by big league clubs.

Couple of nice assists today. Looks like he's been working with Griffiths on those cut backs.

...and one balls -up. I think we can let him off with that considering the impact he has made this season. Best young prospect we have had for a while.

He misread the bounce of the ball.

Can happen to even the most experienced of players.

Excellent attacking performance today.

Definitely at fault for their goal today, but he made up for it with a couple of assists and an otherwise steady defensive performance.

He had to make a mistake sooner or later. Fortunately it didn't cost us.

Learning curve for Tierney with that error, otherwise excellent as usual.

And you could see how much he was broken up over it.

To be fair to him, the ball seemed to hit a divot and bounce unnaturally away from him, that can happen anyone. Had a great game today and has been the highlight of our season for me.

Obvious error that led to their goal, but he will learn from it.

2 cracking assists and overall he was fantastic again.

I don't know so much. He made a mistake, that's all. Everyone does.

He was great again today, obvious howler aside. His determination is fantastic. He simply doesn't know how to lose. What a great quality to have.
