Bournemouth wanting him for £20m apparently

Tierney won't be going anywhere
Not even Man Utd for £25m?
Werder Bremen are looking for 20M€ for Thomas Delaney, a decent but not exceptional player. In that market Tierney has to be worth more than that.

If you're right on the value, I can't see Celtic wanting to have 25m+ tied up in a full back, given other needs in the squad.

Why are people so upset about him going to Bournemouth?

Aye it's an odd choice, but it's up to him where he goes his summer holidays.

Doubt he will leave this summer but depends what any offer looks like if it comes, both for him and the club, I guess. Van dijk to Southampton didn’t look the most ambitious move but he soon became the most expensive defender in England and is now on about £120k a week. Yes, Tierney is a true Celt but money talks

BBC claimed that Atlético will have scouts there on Saturday, not sure whether to believe that. If true though that’s the best team to have had genuine interest in KT yet.

He's staying for the 10. Becoming blue captain when Broony retires and then manager in 20 years. Odds on.

Scott Brown was only a couple of years older than Tierney when he signed. He's been happy to spend the rest of his career with us, become captain and chief bam up merchant of the huns.

I don't know much about his finances, but I'd wager he'll we well fixed for the rest of his life if he's been halfway sensible.

And he takes a leaf out of Jock Stein's book, who said that Celtic wasn't his first love but it was certainly his last.

Tierney is a dyed in the wool Tim. If I was him, I'd be thinking, if it's good enough for Scott Brown when why not me?

I just don't see as much of an attraction with other clubs mooted to be honest. He's a pro and I'm sure he'd give it everything but for a guy who is steeped in the club, I doubt he'd get the same feeling playing in Spain or whatever. It's not always about money, as we've seen before. For some it is, but not for everyone.

If he did go, good luck to him. I'm sure he'll do fantastically well. I'd expect him to be here for another few years at least though.

The infamous Celtic v Atletico game was in 1974 was it not? You’re talking about losing respect for KT if he goes there in 2018?

Whether we like them or not, a chance to play for a top team in Spain would be an amazing opportunity. I'm sure he loves Celtic but it's the kind of offer - perhaps one of the very few - that would at least make a person think about it as a serious option.

This happened over 20 years before the lad was born and people would lose respect for him ? ffs

The chance to play for a top club in la liga does not come around very often for a scottish player. What a compliment they are sending scouts to watch him.
