His stock will rise only further when he manages to prevent the fantastic, rampaging *name of some hun* that he will somehow manage to nullify in the upcoming Glasgow derby. ;)

Wouldn't take £10m for him. Keep him here and get more in the future.

Think the paper speculation is just column inches filler. Young Kieran is the best prospect we've had since Forrest. His attitude and workrate make up for any weaknesses. I'm sure he will be with us for a few seasons yet, and I hope he is getting great advice and protected by Celtic and unlike Forrest, he stays grounded and reaches the top in football.

Long. long way to go, but the signs are all promising

Paddy Roberts getting recalled by Man City, Tierney away to Liverpool.

You would be forgiven for thinking there was a game against Sevco Scotland in the offing.

Aye, I agree. He's a cracking prospect but has plenty in his game to still work on and whether he'll ever be good enough to warrant a £10m bid or be in Liverpool's first 11 is debatable

Given wee Alby Moreno thinks he's Gareth Bale it wouldn't be hard to get in the LFC left-back slot!

Tierney ain't ready for that kind of step up yet mind.

The difference with the King (new monicker), is that he is unlike the rookies of the past 15-20 years.

Young guys from the past young teams have been technically good, and looked for the pass at all times. We loved it, we have had many great debuts from guys we never hear of again (tonight Matthew, I'm going to be Theódór Elmar Bjarnason). They were used to playing that way for young teams that dominated the reserve league, and this would soon be kicked out of them. From there, without their nice passing they'd have little to offer.

Tierney is the opposite. He already has fight, and an old head on his shoulders. He's equipped to play the football that, sadly, is a reality at Scottish senior level. His limited distribution abilities will improve, but you can't teach fight. He has it all in place to be as good as Danny McGrain.

No he doesn't and that's quite a ridiculous thing to say.

He has limited distribution but he can be as good as Danny McGrain? Naw.

He is a very good prospect with a chance of having a good career at Celtic. That's all at the moment. He'll certainly never be world class and there is no need to burden him with ridiculous comparisons.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
The ref considers it a tackle - mainly through fear
Does he get booked for it?
Who, the ref? Aye

I disagree. It's the technical ability you can't teach, you can teach fight.

edit: technical ability at his age*. You can improve certain parts of your technique but you'll never be complete.

Incidentally, Bjarnason has passed his way tidily through a half-decent career and will be appearing at the Euros in the summer, probably alongside our other Icelandic old bhoy Kjartan Finnbogasson. It's funny how things work out.

He's no Lee Wallace mind you! best player in the country im told

On a more serious note - I think we'll have him for a few more years and if he does continue to develop we will see him move on for mega bucks - 'Tis the way of the world - especially when Moyes has us in the CL regularly
