So bbc rumours quote ' 25m rated' KT is a target for Man Utd. 25m? your having a laugh. He's worth far more than that in todays market.
What would you realistically expect to get for him if he ever leaves?
that would depend when he leaves , he signed a 6 year contract. I dont know what were paying him but i would imagine he will have to get wage rises during that period if he stays. Theres an assumption with a lot of people in football that strikers are the most valuable members of the team , but its a team game. KT wont , in my opinion , stay at left back , he will move into left midfield just like Sessegnon at Fulham , which is where Scotland should be using him. If he left in the summer with 5 years left on his contract i would want 35m with a very good sell on clause. If he was looking to go down to the gravy train i would head for Spurs not Man utd if i was him . Mourinho doesn't have that attacking philosophy thats built into KT. Luckily Brendan understands the market , but having said that i would try our damdest to keep him. If Moussa and Sinclair are on 40k surely KT should be looking for similar in about 12 months time. We dont have that many gems in the team and KT is somebody we should be building the team around if we can keep him. He's one of us , which is to our advantage.

Don’t see Tierney as moving forward at all.

How many times have you known a player to sign a 6 year deal? Maybe he'll fancy a change later in his career but he'll be the next Celtic captain.

KT may sign a contract for Man Ure on condition they pay his wages, he is loaned back to the Hoops for three more seasons, we get £10 million per annum and KT has an opt out for free clause after the hoped for 10 IAR.
Sounds reasonable.

No one seems to blink when mentioned as the best left back in Britain, so it stands to reason he may well be one of the best in the world, so why the need to ridicule ?

He's nowhere near being one of the best full backs in the world. Hyperbolic nonsense.

I love KT as much as the next Tim but I find some of the valuations of him incredible.

Tierney can be the worst player on the park and he'll still pop up in people's top 3's.

I think what other teams would consider a fair price for KT would be a price we wouldn't be willing to accept.

Imagine it had been him who launched Kenny Miller into the air - we'd be wanting a world record fee just for loaning him out

If Liverpool were selling Robertson now (after less than a season with them), I think they would be looking for £30m plus.

On that basis that is the minimum we should be looking for.

We don't need to worry though as KT will be desperate to stay for hopefully 10 in a row and maybe even as the captain of that side.

I think Tierney is better than Robertson but the crucial thing regarding valuations is that Robertson plays in the English Premer League and Tierney in the Scottish premier league. It may be unfair but that will reflect on the valuation of a player.
