Tierney doesn't cover himself in glory at the 1st today, but he's 2 on 1 in that position and isolated. McGregor is supposed to be covering him and completely sells himself and gives McGinn the space to drive into. I'd be looking at McGregor for that one. Poor positioning.

And Tierney wasn't good today, especially in possession. But Boyle didn't roast him. Geez peace.

Both were poor for that goal but Mcgregor completely sold himself and allowed McGinn a free run into the box.

This is beginning to annoy me. It is well publicised, and discussed by fans, that Brendan's tactics means Tierney plays almost as a wing back. Lustig's lack of mobility, and admittedly his ability to play as 3rd CB, added to Sinclair pulling inside and doing little tracking back leaves Tierney with a monumental shift each and every game he plays. While he is idolised by the fans on one level, there seems to be very little understanding of just how much is being asked of this young player who plays nearly every single game.

It was the same with Izzy but he was shampoo today and hasn't had a good game in a while. Even if it means Hayes starting I'd rest KT against Accies.
Play 3 CHs with two forward thinking midfielders wide and KT doesn’t need to play.
The last game against Accies, we played 3-4-3 with McGregor wide left in the 4, I'd consider that again but with Hayes.

Today was his 36th game of the season. By the time we get to the winter break he'll probably have played 42 games. That's a ridiculous amount of football to play in 5 months.

He's still a young boy with great talent, and even greater potiential. We have to accept that he might have poor games, or spells where his form dips. Same for Ntcham.

It's incredibly poor that we don't have natural cover for him.

He is still, after all, a young boy, and still developing towards his physical peak. Celtic have put an enormous physical and mental challenge on him, and he has excelled - but he needs a break, and Celtic need someone who can stand in for him for at least a couple of weeks at a time.

Sometimes think we’re asking too much of him, he’s still a young player at the start of his career. Looks a bit knackered st times

This

some folk think he is the new mcgrain already, he has heaps of potential and is already an established Celtic and scotland player however his form has dipped of late and is clearly showing effects of so many games for both us and scotland, he must have played about 40 games this season

It is, and at least guys Ntcham can get a break.

I can't quite get the thinking behind getting into this state with a left back.

His form has dipped but the wee lad has had a heap of expectation piled on his shoulders but it doesn't help that he is surrounded by the 3 stooges in defence. Maybe needs a rest for a few games.

He's spent the past couple of months being the Celtic left wing - he's deserving a good rest when you see that we've played a game every 4/5 days on average since the season began.

Not saying he couldn't do with sitting out a game, but the last time I was reading these kind of comments he had a blinder against Aberdeen at Pittodrie and another one the week later against Bayern Munich.

he needs a rest... whether its hayes or miller (or even gamboa on the left? just a thought for once in awhile) as has been said he is playing every game and a ton is asked of him

Probably does.

I thought Boyle played well as anyone against.

KT does need a couple of games out at least then a 30 yard screamer against the Huns!

I dont think he needs rest, I think his drop in form coincides with sinclairs drop in form. I think KT's playing behind someone who's not holding the ball as much, nor running at defenders as much. Last season, SS was on fire and that gave KT The platform and protection to play further up the park whereas now he's having to track more and probably a bit more exposed. Hopefully SS goals at the weekend bring him back to his best and we see KT back at his best too.

He needs a rest but the criticism from some - and the usual one(s) who hover over the keyboard with their readymade diatribe waiting for him to have a bad game - is OTT. As the previous poster said, he gets little or no help from Sinclair while bombing up and down the wing all game.
