I can see the club having to knock back some serious offers for KT when the transfer window slams open. Those 17 scouts last night will have been well impressed by that performance.
Yup...but knock them back they absolutely must. If Brendan Rodgers is to get a shot at his Celtic doing anything in Europe then he must he allowed to keep the likes of KT.

Maybe we could just hope that he stays rather than worrying about what's the best move for his career, the international team, or how many squillions we might get for him?

you don't think quite a few will have scribbled down the name James Forrest?
Undoubtedly. But this is the Kieran Tierney thread. Besides, I'm fairly sure they'll be allowed to report back on more than one player.

I personally said three hail Mary's last night that Man U sign him in January. Nothing like the thrill of losing good players.

Absolutely. He's a player to build a team around. Future captain, no doubt.

I predict KT will be captain of both Celtic and Scotland when they next reach a major finals.
If he hasn't retired or died of old age by then
Fair point

Just three? Pfft, you don't give a shampoo about his career! You probably wanted Paul McStay to stay at Celtic too. :nono:

It's much easier with a guy who wants to stay and has a long term deal. Also his potential value keeps increasing anyway so financially it also makes sense. Thank eff we're not skint and trying to hawk him like in the Hay / Nicholas eras. :)

All joking aside there are clearly players who use Celtic as a stepping stone. It is only but right they are sold for maximum value after a couple of years. This clearly isn't the case for Tierney and I sincerely hope the 'not for sale' signs are up regardless of how much money is waved in our direction.

A matter of time before the SMSM question his ambition by staying with us.

Do any of the idiots on here saying that Kieran will go in January want the taxi fare to the asylum??

1. Kieren does not want to leave Celtic so no deal would ever go ahead just now.
2. If Kieran was forced out of the door just after signing a 6 year contract the fans would turn and Brendan would be off.

Be good if he said he'd like to play for Ireland instead just for a noise up like.

Don't think Ireland would find it funny to be honest.

 Exactly. The talented footballer who is happy to be very well paid for playing for the club he actually supports may be a relatively rare breed nowadays but I don't think he's totally extinct yet. I'm mildly disappointed that KT is only on a six-year contract. Hopefully, it contains an option for a six-year extension.
