I may he reading too much into his post match interview but he seems to be primed as next captain. Expect him to give interviews more often to get used to the media.

As per his performance. Fantastic again. Consistently fantastic

Robben was moved from the left to the right as he was getting nowhere against him tonight. Says it all about how good he was.
Really felt that he realised what he had to do to be a European level player tonight.

Brilliant, and when Sincliar went off he was rampaging down that wing

The best player we’ve produced in a long time. Genuinely has a chance of becoming one of the best full backs in the world.

Sutton's "best British fullback playing in Britain" insistence was odd. Who is he thinking about who plays outside the UK? Ashley Cole has had it.

The point was more that he obviously thinks there are foreign full backs playing in the UK who are better.

I have Forrest as MOTM for last night but Tierney was also superb. A real coming of age performance last night. Defensively solid and a real threat.

Probably the best game he's had in the CL.

He should have just said best British fullback then

Much more like it tonight. For me, this is the game where he became a European level player. Much better all round, much more composed, and hard as nails. A good night for young KT.
The play and pass he made to Forrest ahead of the Armstrong chance was Kieren Tierney in a nutshell.

Doesn’t give up on a ball destined to go out, bullies the Bayern player out of it, cuts inside skinning another Bayern midfielder, slides to make the pass and absolutely batters Vidal ( I think) in the process. Lovely stuff.

Full blown 24 carat diamond, his sheer consistency is amazing for a young lad. Our youth policy is paying undreamed of dividends.

Wooft...

Ive not watched the game back but I was in section 441 ( i think)...my mate was next to me and in the second half he outpaced two Bayern players to get a cross into the back post...

This bhoy is a star.

I predict KT will be captain of both Celtic and Scotland when they next reach a major finals.

The wee chip he had past the Bayern player to run down the wing was a thing of beauty.

I can see the club having to knock back some serious offers for KT when the transfer window slams open. Those 17 scouts last night will have been well impressed by that performance.

you don't think quite a few will have scribbled down the name James Forrest?

I'd assume most every club in the EPL are fully aware of James Forrest and his ability to put in that kind of performance from time to time. Big difference between a 26 year old who has failed to realise his massive talent consistently and a 20 year old who already looks like one of the best players in his age bracket in Europe.

If he hasn't retired or died of old age by then
