But I wouldn't trade another Celtic League Cup win for Scotland getting to any World Cup, beating England twice along the way, and getting out of the groups.

I'm sorry but nah, that'd be effing amazing :naught:

I didn't mention Scotland but it's nice he's getting international experience and recognition as it will enhance his knowledge and overall game play. If it was a choice of him playing poorly for Celtic due to Scotland commitments or playing well for Celtic then it's Celtic every time! That's why I want Scott Brown to retire from international football.
My point was that Tierney is that good a player that my rational mind cannot comprehend how he'll be able to turn down the wages or challenges that are surely going to come his way. He loves Celtic. That's a fact but he's also intensely ambitious and let's face it, unlikely to fulfil those ambitions with Celtic.
The whole football landscape has changed and if he wants to win the Champions League then it's unlikely to be with us.

There may come a time when he has a decision to make and I personally would not begrudge him one iota of any success or riches that come his way.
If by some magical way he decides that he's staying, then I'll enjoy watching him playing and winning and hopefully helping bring through a new crop of younger players who want to wear the green

At the Hydro last night Brendan wasn't for mentioning individual players except Brown which was in reply to a leading question from Eamon Holmes.

At one point without any prompting he changed track and went off on a tangent and said "I must mention Kieran" - Paraphrasing he said his he is the ideal pro who was brought up as a Celtic Supporter and whose love of Celtic knows no bounds and he (Brendan) has never seen anything like the passion this player has for his Club - I have a feeling as long as Brendan is here Kieran will be his future Captain when Brown eases off and goes on the Coaching Staff - The Moussa dosh to come should ensure The Board don't sell Kieran in the near future and hopefully Kieran knows if he wants the crazy dosh his time will come but we may just have a Maestro scenario whereby he won't leave no matter what.

Brendan didn't go into the Midden 5-1 game dressing room story but I think I posted it on here before - Fair to say it sums Kieran up.

As for Brown he said he is a believer a team needs a great Captain and leader and he has that in Scott Brown - He said instead of getting noised up and reacting Scott now thrives off of being the "Pantomine Villain" and when he gets the pelters it makes him play even better but people should never lose sight of the fact he is a "terrific footballer".

What’s the dressing room story from the 5-1 game?

Brendan was giving his team talk in the Dressing Room and was telling some the players he was addressing "I want to see those stands emptying"* and whilst he was doing this the Bold Kieran was so worked up he was going round "chest thumping" every player (Brown style) basically telling them "this was it and to get fecked right into them" and in his passion he got carried away and "chest thumped" Brendan. :ffs: :o

Cue "Off ffs Really sorry Gaffer" to which Brendan burst out laughing and said "I'll just let Kieran carry on the team talk".

*And empty they sure did. :rocker:

Needs to work on his goal celebrations.
My Mrs commented on that the other night. He didn't seem to know what to do.

She doesn't fully understand why KT is my 6 year olds favourite player. She's of the, fairly logical, understanding that wee boys should idolise the guys scoring 30 or 40 goals a year. I had to explain to her that Tierney isn't just a footballer, he's a Celtic supporter who just so happens to be an outstanding footballer. He's easy to love.

Any Celtic success is infinitely more important to me than any national team. I don't think that's anything to do with hatred, nor do I think I'm alone in that.

And although I recognise that it might have been better for Paul McStay to go to a better league, it's extreme self-loathing for a Celtic supporter to have actually wanted that to happen. That goes for KT too.

Actually, I don't believe any genuine Celtic supporter would even consider that.

No.

Don't hate the Scotland team (Tartan Army are a bunch of winks right enough), just couldn't give a eff.
