Two games as captain; two 5-0 wins.
Against Sunderland and Kilmarnock.

If he gets the Armband against Motherwell, they'll be shampooin themselves.

It's a far cry from the culture on display in Simon Ferry's recent interviews with O'Dea, Thomson, and McGeady. Looks like we are finally producing 24/7 athletes. Or KT is a wan aff. Hope not.

Stepped into the role of Captain like a kid born for the role. We are going to have to resist some serious offers for KT in the years ahead. Really serious offers.

Meanwhile, he's an absolute joy to watch, and he just loves playing for Celtic.

Aye, a lot of their chat was about young players not being characters, not having banter any more etc. Maybe it's just that they are, on the whole, a lot more conscientious and professional these days. :ponder:

Rodgers was at great pains last night to emphasise how professional KT is - doesn't drink, trains like an animal every day. You just need to look at how his physique has changed in the last two years to see how dedicated he is and he is absolutely reaping the rewards. He's a great role model for guys like Ralston and Miller.

This.

KT is trying to be the best he can possibly be.

My favourite player since Henke.

Genuinely one of us and as TB pointed out he epitomises the term " a fan that got lucky"

Great manner and conduct when he speaks – love that about him – seems so grounded. Never fazed. A tremendous footballer. Still only 20 as well.

God willing, here for years, captaincy en route & major player for us.

Well done Kieran.

McGeady talked about playing a game on the Saturday and going on a night out after it then having a champions league game midweek fs  Tierney is the ultimate role model for the younger players looking to break through now, hopefully they follow suit with staying level headed, no drinking etc

His dad is a real Celtic man, and also an amazing soothsayer. Always worth watching again after games like last night's...

I reckon Ferry was on commission if he said "ye cannae dae that anymore like" and "ye don't get than now like". The guy was talking like he played in the 70s.

But then perhaps that's how quickly football culture is changing in Scotland. If you don't act like an athlete, you'll get replaced by someone from southern or eastern Europe or Africa who will.

Be as well handing Young Player of the Year to KT right noo.....then again, it might depend on how many games young Ralston gets this year.

Excellent in an unnatural position tonight.
Wouldn't be surprised if that ends uo being his position eventually.
Wouldn't even be surprised to see him turn into a Bale type player when he approaches his peak.

Think he can play anywhere down that left side.

I think this is one of the problems in Scotland right now. Its not simply just about trying to compete technically with the rest of the world but its also trying to get a change in lifestyle and diet and get youngsters realising that there is more to it than just being able to do things with a ball.

I think the culture is beginning to change here if ever so slightly. With social media etc young ones definitely seem to be more in to fitness and healthy eating now. Although changing the alcohol and drinking culture, especially in Glasgow, is going to take a generation.

I've pointed this out before, but while most folk have their burds, agents and millions of kids about on trophy day, Kieran has his mum and dad on the park. This year, his dad was having a long discussion with Paddy which hopefully was 'Why the eff would you want to leave here?'

Needs a better song
I agree - time for more than a chorus for our future captain. Saying that, the Broony is hardly a creative master piece
