Outstanding tonight.

I have said this a few times now but folk need to calm it when talking about his defensive frailties. We play with Tierney advanced past the natural position a left back would take. We even done it under Deila where Tierney had a whole flank to himself. We also done it with Izzy and he took pelters for it. The difference is at some point Izzy found it difficult to get back into his defensive position. Tierney doesn't. Sometimes he can't stop the opposition, thats what happens when you're trying to defend after sprinting up and down the pitch more than a couple of times, but that doesn't mean he can't defend at this level. It might mean we have to adjust our tactics though.

Hope that he continues to improve at this speed.
If he does, he'll be club captain in 2 years - regardless of Broony being fit/here or not.

He's not taking the captaincy off Brown.

 His European performances have been a mixed bag so far. He'll become more consistent as he gets older.

I actually thought he had some poor moments defensively. There were a couple of times he went charging out of position chasing the ball and Brown had to slot in and cover. He was outstanding going forward though.

The guy is a phenomenon. Bulking out a bit too which is good considering the hits he takes. I know the Danny Mac comparisons have been done to death, but if he stays fit, and stays with us for a good few years, I don't think the comparisons will be too outlandish.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep

I though his defending was massively improved from its usual level in Europe and he was absolutely brilliant going forward all night. I know I can be critical of him but if he improves his defending and becomes more composed on the ball in deeper positions, he'll be a special player.

Excellent first half last night but quite a few times in the second, he reverted to the 'get it to eff' in the second half when under no real pressure. Needs to work on this.

Always wonder if he likes to dish out a bit of 'patter' to opposition players, as he always comes in for rough treatment, even last night against RBK, so its not just a Scottish thing...

Anyway, good game and looks to be getting back into it after a tough season last year.

They are calling him the best left back in Britain, doesn't sound like they are trying to sell him to me
