:worthy: The sight of Kieran Tierney lifting that trophy yesterday was just fantastic. An iconic moment, in a season of unforgetable moments.
yes......have watched that several times :worthy:

The emotion, the passion of the young lad is a joy to behold.

Just makes me want to  everytime I see it.

If you watch Stockley he makes his whole body rigid and swings round to catch Kieran. He is one nasty piece of work, a bastard and a fly man.
That's how I saw it too - dirty play.
If rugby - with all its contact - can take head contact out of its game, then so can football. Their philosophy is based on outcome and not intent - so burst someone's teeth or jaw likely sees you suspended for a month.

The calls for someone to seriously injure Stockdale were presumably alcohol-induced silliness.
In 3 out of his last 4 games he's seriously hurt Tierney twice and was sent off for recklessly swinging elbows in two separate occasions at Ibrox.

I completely get that accidents can happen, it's a contact sport after all, but 4 seperate occasions in his last 4 games? That's a wee pattern. He's proven that he's a complete thug with very little footballing ability and the sooner he's out of football the better. I would say it's only a matter of time before he seriously injures someone, but we've now got a player that's lost a few teeth, and needs an operation to fix his mouth and jaw because of his thuggery.
I agree with all of that.

I still think it's pish patter to want a Celtic player to deliberately end another player's career though.

Agreed. Our players can handle themselves just fine.

Personally, I like the likes of Roberts' approach. Hacked down repeatedly and got up each time and humiliated them again with brilliant skill.

But yeah, sign a Balkan warlord to kick them back. Magic.

This isn't about ending a player's career or Celtic getting some payback, it's just musing on the poetic justice of a proven hammer thrower getting some of his own back. Seemingly it's the only way he'll get the message that the likes of breaking a player's jaw and knocking his teeth backwards into his head isn't an acceptable substitute for having no talent.

I'm not very bothered about the England game but I am concerned about KT being available for pre-season (which starts in three weeks).

Any sort of op will presumably mean a setback in terms of him being able to be fit for first qualifier.

BR and izzy shared a joke on the pitch at the end. I wonder if it was BR saying that he wished he named Izzy on the bench

I'd have happily seen Broony take a yellow for a bit of retribution yesterday. Wanting him to do a Keane/Simpson/Ganea isn't what we should be hoping for though.

No big deal, I know it's just guys talking pish on the internet, and the players know better.

There was too much at stake yesterday for a bit of swift retribution. Had Broony or anybody else tried it I'm sure brother Madden would have had a red card out in a flash.

Next season though when there isn't as much riding on the outcome might be a different story.

I'd imagine the big boys card has been marked. Someone will nail him at some stage when the opportunity arises.

And it won't necessarily be a Celtic player.

Nobody said it had to be a Celtic player.

Personally I'm not actively hoping someone goes out to do him. Merely if it does happen and he ends up with a bad injury, well I don't think I'll have a great deal of sympathy for him.

Stockley is a talentless thug but I don't think we should be wasting our time discussing that nonentity.

Kieran lifting that trophy yesterday was an iconic moment. :worthy:

Apart from Stockely yesterday, KT does seem to end up on the receiving end of some particularly nasty treatment. I'm not looking for special treatment but it's no wonder we're a footballing backwater on a national level when talents such as KT are allowed to be targeted regularly with such brutality.

Andy Walker could hardly help himself - "Take it with ye, Kieran!". - Andy's Uncle Tim mask slipped for a minute.

I'd put money on Kieran sorting it out himself.
