If he scores this season it'll be the biggest cheer ever
I've already dreamt he scored a 30 yard thunderbolt against the hun at Hampden :rocker:
:potm:
Would love that, imagine the roar.
Make it happen KT.
Either that, or just half every Hun in every 50/50.
N fact the 2nd option is a given anyway.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
But will go past the 18 yard line unlike the bold Jackie
And kt isn't a pumpkin.

Your hate for Jackie Mac is brilliant. As soon as he was mentioned in here you was on it.

Isn't willing to be a passenger like so many of his teammates. In fact, he looks like he wants to be the best player on the pitch every time he plays. Wish I could say the same for so many others on the field with him.

His passing and composure has come on great strides on just the past few months. I predict a future Scotland and Celtic captain.

Spot on re his progress but if it continues he'll most likely move on before too long. Not what we want but sadly the way it is nowadays.

TBF talented Scottish players do seem to stay at the club for a decent amount of time...probably because they see playing for Celtic as a high point in their career in itself, whereas for most of our foreign imports we're a stepping stone to the EPL and there's an implicit agreement between them and the club that they'll be sold on if/when there's a suitable cash offer from a club in a league they want to be in.

Not a criticism of our imported players BTW...most of them wouldn't even be here if they didn't think it could help them get to the "big" leagues, so it's just what we need to do to attract players who didn't grow up in our own back yard.

Must have been buzzing at the final whistle. 18 and the whole stand were chanting his name... until Sviatchenko came over to do a ronny roar..

He's been consistently not shampooe and that's some achievement for anyone in this team, never mind an 18 year old.

Still got loads to work on though. I think people are going a little overboard in their praise of him.
And how's that? The guy can tackle, can cross, great positional sense. Great energy. Player of the year in my opinion. I mean 'consistently not shampooe' ? You can't even praise him without it being a dig.
The quote that you've cherry picked was contextualised by the rest of the sentence. He's stood out, but in a team full of poor, off-form players. Yesterday Callum McGregor looked like a world-beater in it.

I agree that his tackling has been excellent at this level, and his crossing has been good too and you can't fault his commitment. However I wouldn't agree about his positional sense and he definitely needs to work on his distribution, pace and composure.

Not saying he hasn't played well, or that he doesn't have a huge amount of potential, but comparisons to Danny McGrain and Davie Hay or predicting that he'll be a future captain for club and country are ridiculous at this stage. I think people need to temper their enthusiasm lest undue pressure is put upon him.

I think the opposite is now true and some folk are trying to nitpick or deliberately play down his talents.

He's a cracking defender. Some of his tackling on Saturday was properly old-school brilliant.

Absolutely. I haven't mentioned him yet this season as I've just been amazed watching him blaze a trail and praying he can keep producing, and he has. Easily our best defensive prospect since Kennedy, Kieran has International qualities as John did and deserves his place in the squad. It's great to see us producing talent that can be elevated and the typically Scottish reaction of "you can't do that" has been laughable from some, it's not like getting a cap for England and all the pressure that brings, Scotland has achieved nothing for years and the expectations that went with the stars of the 60's,70's and 80's are reduced to mere hope now, it's going to be a walk in the park compared to playing for Celtic over the next few weeks.

He's excellent.

Once he gets a wee bit more composed on the ball, he'll be a frightening prospect.
"Once he gets a wee bit more composed on the ball, he'll be at Southampton"
Nope. :)

Kieran is rather happy and wants to stay in Glasgow for a very, very long time.

This. The kid is absolutely fearless.

He also remembers to do the simple things, defend first and he always makes the correct decisions. Both on and off the ball.

In a season that has been, at best, underwhelming, I can't see why anyone would want to do that.

It's so overtly negative at times that it just happens out of habit.
