If Stockley can do that by accident then he doesn't belong on a football park. He is a health and safety hazard if he can't prevent himself from inflicting that sort of damage on his fellow professionals.

And if it was an accident he should be apologising to his victim

But it wasn't an accident and no amount of weasel words from McInnes changes that

What sort of cretin has to be given "strict orders" to not elbow someone in the face, anyway?

A big trophyless Hun, that sort.

For anyone who thinks that it was accidental, watch a replay and you'll see that the ball has already went above Stockley before he hits tierney. He makes no attempt to get the ball as his full concentration is on hitting Tierney. An absolute cretin of a guy.

For any wrestling fans, tierney lifting up the cup at the end is like a storyline they do where they kid on someone is injured, just for him to come back at the end and lift the belt. Except tierney actually broke his jaw.

Did he lose any teeth in the end? F'n sickening. Gutted for him, especially after missing the LC final. He'll win more finals in both competitions in the hoops though.

Felt sick listening to the radio when the elbow was announced. He seems to have become a target for other teams.

Brilliant to see he was able to lift the cup though. Hope he is on the mend.

Can't believe Stockley got away with it after getting sent off for similar against Rangers. Strict orders not to flail elbows my arse.

Was absolutely delighted to see Tierney back at the end though  hope his bromance with Roberts helps to convince Paddy to stay

Tom English nails it in his match report :

Jayden Stockley - selected up front ahead of Adam Rooney - swung an arm into Tierney's face and the young Celtic full-back immediately signalled that he was in bother.

Blood poured from his mouth and, after treatment, he had to leave the field.

Stockley has a reputation for over-zealous use of his arms and elbows and was deeply fortunate not to see red for a fourth time this season. He claimed it was accidental, but Celtic were having none of it. They were incensed.

KT will be winning medals and caps for the rest of his career, while Stockley will fade into oblivion before too much longer. Enjoy that loser's medal it will likely be the only medal you ever get, Stockley, you dirty bastard.

This must have been what Richard Gordon was alluding to when he had to cut the program and English off, admitting that he was aware English had plenty to say and that we could read his views in his column.

Hope this Aberdeen guy gets retrospective punishment.

What a effing kid.

An absolute roaster, in a good way.

Was having a great game before he was assaulted and appeared like effing Gandalf the White to lift the cup.

An absolute hero.

And one of us.

Still raging about this and disgusted to hear Stubbs making excuses for it. Stockley should be banned for that.

KT is one brilliant wee player. Glad to see him getting his hands on the cup.
Felt the same when I heard Paddy Bonner defending the Aberdeen player too.

Was the elbow deliberate?

I know the guy is an utter cart horse who uses his elbows but been told by a few that it didn't look malicious.

Not seen it back myself.

An absolute warrior. effing despicable that his final was ruined by that big haddie Stockley but he who laughs last laughs longest. The kid's gonna be a star for us for hopefully his whole career.

Roberts' face when that roar went up for Tierney lifting the cup

KT looked sure. He was furious with Stockley at the time.

That celebration with the cup. Lionheart.
