I can only remember 1 winger giving Danny a game when he was in his prime & that was Arthur Graham at Aberdeen.

I never saw Danny so can't comment on that but to have the amount of appearances and assists at KT's age is pretty remarkable. That bodes well for the future anyway. Hopefully one day he's spoken of in the same regard.

Cracking young player, but didn't think he played well at Aberdeen.

Still panics a wee bit under pressure in his own half rather than composing himself and making a pass.

KT was clattered early in the match by Stockley.

Not sure if our bhoy fully recovered from that. It was a sore one

He's a fantastic prospect but some fans have gone over the top in lavishing the praise. He has lots to improve on to become a great player never mind a legend like Danny.

I'm confident he will become a great player and I hope he does it with us. But I do have my own wee feeling he is a tad overrated *(at this point in his development at least).

*edit: this is no reflection on KT's abilities at this stage; more my own observation of the inflated opinions of others IMHO of course

Pretty sure mcinnes will start with that big donkey at hamden , as their Long ball tactics won them that match.

We will pass them to death if he does , so heres hoping.

Danny mcgrain said that jesper Olsen was the most difficult opponent he ever faced. He give Danny the runaround at Celtic park.

Think it only applies to young players so I'm still at a loss as to how he won it

I only saw McGrain towards the end of his career but he was still a class act.

From speaking to family and friends though the reports are that he was phenomenal.

As a kid I read Dalglish's autobiography (he was still playing for Liverpool I think) and remember him constantly mentioning McGrain in the early chapters - saying how he was world class and could walk into any team. Pretty decent endorsement if any were needed.

Tierney is very good and will get better but Danny McGrain is a legend.

I'm am sure that if BR had the choice between Kieran Tierney and Danny McGrain he would go for Kieran Tierney everytime.

At the age of 67 Danny might b able to put a decent tackle in but he will struggle to get up and down the wing.

Even at that age, KT is the best defender in the picture.
