Future captain.
 Love the guy. He could stay for 5-6 years and still have a
career outside of Celtic if that's what he wants.

Great wee interview with him on the CU podcast. Sounds so young but then maybe it's just I'm so old!

KT on speculation about his future...

"You see stuff in the papers and on Twitter, people telling you, but I just need to concentrate on what I'm doing - training and playing well for Celtic. It's easy for me (to ignore) because I'm happy where I am."

Love him. Great player. Think Moussa deserved the award but KT has been great all season.

Not even close. Might as well compare Griffiths and Larsson.

Worth remembering that Danny McGrain, though eventually a world class player didn't make his league debut until he was 20, albeit for a far better Celtic team.

KT is developing very well. He's already a full internationalist, has nearly 50 league appearances under his belt and may one day become a world class player himself but the kid is only 19, there's plenty of time for comparisons further down the line.

Bit harsh, Boab.

KT's still got loads of time to improve.

Might not reach the level of DMcG, but who knows?

Edit to add: The fact I've replied to the OP's question does not mean I'm admitting to being an 'older fan'.

I always assume that anyone who asks the question about KT has never seen Danny McGrain play.

Don't get me wrong, I think KT is an exceptional young talent, and will hopefully have a long career at the very top of the game with Celtic, but Danny McGrain is one of the top 5 players ever to play for Celtic, and for years was the best right back in World football.

Danny was exceptional, truly world class. I would be surprised if Kieran doesn't end up being the finest Scottish defender of his generation. I am just delighted that he is a Celt.

No - but who knows how Kieran will progress in the next few seasons.

No disgrace to be second best to Danny but KT is not yet 20 - I can only remember Danny from when he would be 24 -25 onwards and he was magnificent.

He might just outscore the great man though

To be fair , after so many years, it's hard to remember just how good Danny was in comparison

Devils advocate post.

At this point in time, KT is overrated , primarily because he's a proper Celtic supporter/ academy kid. He has loads to learn, but he has a tremendous application to do just that.
It is unfair to make comparisons with one of the greatest full backs ever to play the game. Danny Mcgrains name sits alongside Paul Brietner, Carlos Alberto, Paulo Maldini and others as a legendary full back.

There are times when KT does things that remind me of the decision-making Danny McGrain possessed;
and I wish him every good wish to keep progressing towards the world class stature that was Danny McGrain.
Danny McGrain was at his best in his mid to late twenties.
Not occasional great tackles but every tackle a great tackle.

Would love to think that KT will reach those standards.
