Very good young player but pretty ridiculous voting to award him YPOTY ahead of Dembélé.

Young Player of the Year
He's been great but Dembele all the way for me as young player of the year. No brainer I would agree but I guess it just shows how popular KT is with the overall fan base.

Both great prospects but KT has been more consistent than Dembele IMO. That is one way of looking at it but I disagree with that point and think Tierney won it because of what he represents. He is one of us and was brought up through the ranks and our fans love him for it.

I would agree but I guess it just shows how popular KT is with the overall fan base. I suspect it's more that fans either forgot young Dembele was or that he and Sinclair split the vote for player of the year and the folk who voted Dembele for that didn't also vote for him as young player

He is one of us and was brought up through the ranks and our fans love him for it. And that is fair enough in my view. You vote for who impressed you the most, and it is so tough for Academy players to make the breakthrough that when it happens, we are all delighted and highly impressed.

Good piece.
Celtic skipper Scott Brown the hero of the hour for Kieran Tierney
Spoiler: click to toggle [/b] Kieran Tierney has lauded Scott Brown after the Hoops captain orchestrated the 5-1 win over Rangers on Saturday afternoon. Brown was cleared to play after his red-card at Dingwall was rescinded on appeal to a yellow, meaning that he will now serve a two-game suspension. The Hoops skipper will get a break before reporting back for the finale to the season, and Tierney believes Brown has been the outstanding contributor to Celtic this term. “For me, Scotty was just brilliant against at Ibrox,” said Tierney. “He gives 100%, he is solid in the midfield, he is always pressing but he is just as good on the ball too. “He is irreplaceable. He is a top professional and he helps me every day. I can’t speak highly enough of him. I just don’t have the words to describe what it is he brings us.” Meanwhile, Tierney has maintained that Celtic are looking to build on what they have achieved already this season. Brendan Rodgers’ side are on the brink of a domestic treble, while they could also go through the league unbeaten. And Tierney believes that the ruthlessness of the performance at Ibrox underlines just how dominant Celtic are determined to be. “It was brilliant,” he enthused. “The game plan was spot on, as it always is, and from the first day of pre-season away last summer we have been working so hard to get to this kind of level. When you get days like this, you really appreciate how the hard work has paid off. “We have tried to improve every day and the manager has drilled it into us that we are going to get better and the way we are going now there is no reason not to believe him. “Mikael [Lustig’s] goal was late on, but it just shows you that we always want to push on. We don’t want to sit back, we don’t want to just be comfortable. Credit to the manager and the coaches for drilling this into us because we can see it and we all just want to keep it going now. “Mikael does that every day at training! It was a brilliant goal and a phenomenal goal. The celebrations after that goal were amazing and it is just great to be a part of that. But we don’t want to stop here. We believe we can go to another level and that is what it is all about now.” In December, an injured Tierney was in among the Celtic support for the game – and he has insisted that both players and fans had it good on Saturday. “It is one of the most memorable games I have been involved in,” he said. “It is games like that which make it all worthwhile. It is for the fans as well. It is not just for us as players, it is the fans who have stood with us through highs and lows and we want them to go and enjoy it. “I stood with them on Hogmonay when I was in there, so I know what it is like to be there. I have seen both sides of it and both are just as good – so long as Celtic are winning.” Meanwhile, Celtic have been linked with a trial for 19-year-old Nigerian striker, Stephen Odey. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/15257072.Celtic_skipper_Scott_Brown_the_hero_of_the_hour_for_Kieran_Tierney/

Chelsea are the latest Premier League club to look at Celtic’s Kieran Tierney. The champions elect are considering a summer swoop for the 19-year-old full-back, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United. Sportsmail has been told Celtic are prepared to slap an asking price of £17million on their academy product, who has been shortlisted for Scottish PFA young player of the year. It is following a fine season under Brendan Rodgers as Celtic secured the Scottish Premiership title. Signing a left-back is a priority for Antonio Conte, who has also looked at Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand, formerly of Chelsea. Rodgers is reluctant to sell his stars this summer, having had to fight off interest in Moussa Dembele in January. Tierney has three caps for Scotland and was brought through Celtic’s academy. He impressed in the 3-3 draw against Manchester City in the Champions League in September. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4478354/Chelsea-considering-Celtic-s-Kieran-Tierney.html

This boy is a true class act
I'd really like to see where he could go in football (to the highest level) but I also want him to realise his dreams with us.
The boy has captain written all over him.

How these hacks get paid actual money to pluck a figure out of thin air is beyond me.

Chelsea play 3-4-3 pretty much always. I know story is bollocks but would KT be left of back three or wing back?
