Your away back to the beginning of the season ffs, Beer Sheva and Astana (European qualifiers were they not ? )to have a dig at the boy ! Half the big teams in Europe want to sign him and here's wee James 95 pointing out the half dozen games he hasn't (in wee James opinion) had a good game ! In fact he was terrible! 😄Away and have a good look at yourself!
So I'm not allowed to offer an opinion on him? And get your patronising pish about my age to eff.

You said this season. All those games are this season. I wasn't aware there was a cut off point.
Never mentioned your age James ! For all I know 95 might be when you first got your "nat king" ! I know these games were this season! Who mentioned last season?

Tierney is suffering from our predictability as a team. Similar can be said, though to a much lesser extent, of Sinclair. Our midfield look too much to the left hand side. It is the first, second and third option when we are on the ball. Only if we have exhausted our options on the left or the choice is made for our midfielder by our opponents being out of position will we go to the right.

Couldn't agree more Neil !teams are setting up to defend against our left side I'm surprised it took them so long to do this!

We are also far too slow and not everyone is good enough to take the ball in their stride, get turned and go. Tierney was doing that well enough for a while. His confidence seems low at the moment and he isn't even attempting it.

Armstrong is the best at it just now. We need Armstrong and Rogic on the pitch at the same time. That will help us get the ball moving much quicker. We also just need better players.

Kieran has played a fair amount and has been due a dip in form. He will be fine.

Well aware it's the KT thread , I'm only saying there has been 2 or 3 players who have been "dreadful" !! Tierney has been mostly great for us this season and I can't think of any dreadful performances from him! Maybe by his standards mediocre but not dreadful !
Gladbach, Huns, Dundee, Beer Sheva and Astana away. I'd add St Mirren to that as well.
The whole team were pish in those games.

Astana away was a Ronny Deila performance.

I know I'm in a minority here but he seriously lacks composure in his own half. I believe I'm right in saying he was the worst passer of the ball in every champions league game he played in this season. He's a very good young player but for he still has a lot of work to do. Folks reaction to any sort of criticism of his game is quite frankly bizarre.

He was also the worst passer in 3 of the 4 Europa League matches he played last year.

I'm away to take a look at myself in the mirror.

I agree to an extent. It's odd he can constantly pick the right pass out in and around a crowded box at one end but gets spooked so easily in possession at the other.

He definitely looked overawed in some of the bigger games this season and when Izzy came in for those last few CL ties his composure on the ball under pressure was evident but it will come. The talent is undoubtedly there.

That's always the case on here. Some posters will always be blind to certain players lack of form and round on any criticism of them.

But on Tierney, he's a really good player but he's a kid and is going to have spells of poor form. This is one of them but it won't last because he's too good, too humble and too hard working. It's exacerbated by Sinclair's lack of form.

You aren't in the minority in thinking that. You're in the minority of criticising him for it. He's a teenager. His game is obviously still raw and he'll come on leaps and bounds still.

There's been games where his competition for place (Izzy) has cost us by being the opposite of Tierney and fannying about in stupid areas of the park so the odd hoof is no bad thing.

Aye why no.

While we're at it we'll put Kolo Toure upfront and Paddy Roberts in goal :naught:

He is young and still a way to go but we would be a much poorer team without him. We make it easy for others to criticise our own as we do their job for them.

He is the best young player to come through in many a year.

His cut-backs are quite nice. Keeps giving the ball away, tho.

Has a great deal of potential, which hopefully he can fulfill. Gets cut a lot of slack because he's Celtic daft. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Edit - this notion that we can't criticize our own players because we're doing the job of other clubs' supporters is - quite frankly - bonkers.
