I'm new. Be gentle.
What a difference a year makes for Kieran Tierney?
Anyone else think the same? :)

Distribution was really poor yesterday. Lots of potential though.

He's doing well. Hopefully he's learning from every game. I'd maybe be looking to get Izzy back in for a few games now and give Tierney a break.

Definitely. He is beginning to suffer from being over played in a team that is struggling.

Pleased to see a young player get a chance.

Not sure I see what everyone seems to. I saw more in a young Stephen Crainey than I do in Kieran Tierney.

I also think Callum McGregor had more of an impact when he broke thru at the start of last season. When you consider how quickly praise turned to ire with him, I worry for Tierney.

Not necessarily a slight on Tierney but more about all young scottish full backs, they seem to have very little composure when under pressure. That chipped ball down the line, even when nobody is there is so common place it can only be getting taught to them at some point in their youth development

Think he's very decent defensively for someone of his age and stature. His composure leaves a bit to be desired, but you could level the same criticism at plenty of other more senior players in the side. He's doing well, all things considered... However, I'd like to see him swinging more crosses in from deeper positions, in the way Thompson used to, as he's clearly capable of it as the Aberdeen game showed. He had a couple of opportunities yesterday to do it and chose other options instead.

I like the bhoy a lot, defends very well and gets rid of the ball when necessary. I'm a big fan of Izzy but Kieran is a better defender. For the first time I can remember we are blessed with left backs.

The composure will come with more games. I think it's a bit of a strange criticism right now. I'd rather he hoofed it up the line than take any chances. Big mistakes at his age could ruin his confidence.

He needs to learn to get his head up early and see a pass and stop the long aimless punts. other than that had a great few weeks

I think he's been impressive with the potential to be a real star. Before we write off his performance let's remember how bad Izzy has been for a year, total bombscare.

Tierney has been the one shining light in a very poor season so far, he has been dropped in at the deep end several times against top class European players and has done extremely well considering his age and lack of experience. he has delivered a good few quality assists/ passes and has played well in most of the games he has played in,
Against Hearts he did seem to send a few aimless long balls when clearing his lines but possibly this was due to the lack of movement in front of him, from both the midfielder's and striker, he has a lot to learn without a doubt, but if he continues to develop the way he's going we could have a really decent player on our hands. hope the support show him a bit of patience .

He's not the finished article but he's one of the best young players to come through the ranks in years. We've got a great opportunity to phase him in as we phase out Izzy. The composure will come with games and he's shown already that he can handle playing in Europe.

Like the guy. Any chance he could opt for Ireland? We could do with a left back.

not quite a '£5 million' player but he certainly has potential, needs to get his fitness up to scratch - think I have seen him pull up with cramp 3 times now.

That's a thought. You'd think with his name alone we might be able to bull-shampoo a passport.

But I think McGregor is winning fans back with his intelligent play. Lovely pass yesterday for Bitton's goal.

One of the many things Scottish football is missing is a half decent reserve league, this being one of the benefits that have gone.
U21 football simply doesn't prepare these kids for first team football at a good level.
