My main criticism of him last season was that he didn't do enough to impose himself on games.

Now most of our good stuff is going through him and he is the one making things happen (particularly in Rogic's absence). He's doing brilliantly just now.

Amazing turnaround by Armstrong since the start of August.

Well done Stuart, long may it continue.

Along with Simunovic and Sviatchenko.

So glad Armstrong's doing the business. New deal soon, please!

A lot of his passing tonight was very good. Seriously stepping up.

Made great progress under BR. One of the first names on the team sheet at the moment.

I have criticised him several times, no heart or guts. Tonight it struck me when he turned inside from our left side and Scott Brown was the obvious easy pass, he didn't take the easy pass put his head down and powered towards the RC box.

Aggression and self confidence that I would have never believed he had, really happy to have been wrong about him.

He's stepping up and taking responsibility as a senior member of the squad now. We all knew he had ability but he seemed overawed by the club previously.

Brendan's reaction after Stuart scored against Hamilton last week was brilliant. Sheer delight!

What a player he is. First name on the teamsheet on current form.

I just checked and the last time I visited this thread was page 29. I haven't read back but I'm quite sure I had him pegged as 'not really sure what he offers'.

Just goes to show what confidence and a run in the team, with the backing of a mangers who has faith in you can do.
Like Johansen in reverse.
Football really can be a strange fish, with people you've written off, becoming stars, or those whom you've praised, becoming flops.

For the meantime, and as you say, long may it continue, his performances have been outstanding. If he had a hard side to his game, you could see a replacement for Broony right there.

Loving him right now.
