I liked him when we signed him, then went off him, now think he's great again.

Marvellous goal today.
Ditto
I think a few of us are the same...i never really went off him, but thought he was never going to find his early form again....he's one player I always wanted to succeed though, would love GMS to follow suit...not sure he will though

He's always had the ability but like many players last season lacked confidence.

His tail is wagging now and we are reaping the benefits big time. Has went from a bit part first team player to an important first team player.

I wonder what our opinion of Stuart would be if he had been a Brendan Rogers signing in the summer and this was his first season? I think i would probably think we had signed an excellent player with an uncanny eye for finding space and finding the net. He and Scott Brown are the engine of the team.

easily our most in form player at the moment, which might be a bit harsh on Brown who has been in top form the whole season, but Armstrongs performances over the past couple of months have caught our eye more because it seemed that he would never establish himself in the team and instead he is suddenly playing like the player we thought we had bought.

Well chuffed for him and if he keeps this form up then we will have a serious contender for POTY alongside Broony......two midfielders playing some of their best football together for us is a dream come true!

If the net hadn't stopped it that was taking Santa and the reindeers out the sky somewhere. Absolute beauty of a goal. :worthy:

I was still critical of him about a month or two ago, even when the press and some on here were raving about his improvement this season. I still beleive he was only a bit better than last season back then.

Now though he has to be one of the first names on the teamsheet. Glad he is putting the performances in now, as I really liked him when he signed for us.
Same here. I thought too much was made of his cameo against an utter shambles of a hun side in the 5-1 but it does seem to have provided the platform for his slow rehabilitation. For a player whose mentality has been questioned he was completely unphased by our sending off and at times found space as though he was playing for the man up. There's improvement still required. I'd like to see him pulling out more shots like to day and eliminating some of the more erratic and wayward passing out of his game. I believe under Brendan's guidance he will continue to get better over the next 6-18 months.

Exocet missile from him today. Was that against the wind?
Don't think so mate, sure they said today that wind was against us first half. Regardless it was a superb strike.
Goal was with the wind. It was though much reduced in strength than what we played into in the first.

I thought he was poor first half but he wasn't alone in that. What a strike though, and he grew into the game. Took responsibility when McGregor - who was rotten as well - was sent off. Takes balls to strike that and he lacked that last season so fair play to him.

Started well when he first signed, then lost his way big time and seemed to be totally lacking in confidence last season, but his recent displays have seen him going from strength to strength. I think scoring against the Huns gave him a bit of a kick-start and he has come on in leaps and bounds since then. I think there is a good bit to come from him yet as he strives to improve even further and become more consistent.
Big pat on the back for this young man who has flourished under BR. He is proof that not only has BR bought well, the players that were already at CP have benefited from his arrival.

Delighted how much he's proved me wrong. I'm not sure we necessarily need a centre mid in January now. He's playing like a young Stilian Petrov at the minute, if he keeps this up it would take some money to find a better replacement.

Some people have McGregor in their top 3 despite his sending off....this post is typical of how differently our support see games/players...as it happens, McGregor was far from pish...not top 3 for me, but played well

Great assist but didn't impose himself on the game at all prior to that and was sent off shortly afterwards.

Its all about opinions and our fans opinions on players vary wildly...some times you'd think people were talking about different games it can vary so much....I don't see what McGregor did wrong to be judged as rotten yesterday....you don't always have to stick out to be doing your job...Ledley got called rotten lots of times when he did exactly this and was far from rotten..not comparing the two in case that starts another KDS debate
Armstrong this season will be the most improved player of the year if not PLayer of the year

The price we paid for him is beginning to look a real bargain, could be a mainstay of our side for years to come. He'll glide across that Ibrox turf on Saturday leaving huns in his wake as he continues his scoring run.
