Has had plenty of time and done very little. Needs to tidy his game up soon or another one who can go back to United.

He just isn't good enough.

As a winger - he has no pace, scoring ability and limited crossing ability.

As a central midfielder - defensively lazy, shies out of challenges and receiving the ball, doesn't impose himself at all.

In the number 10 role as some have suggested -

Its nothing to do with formations or how we play, he's not good enough for Celtic.
I think he's definitely good enough for this Celtic team - inside left is his position

Much better than gms

Get him and Allan and brown in team

And critically a different manager and I don't think midfield is the issue to be concerned about

Would like to see him in the centre. Definitely not a winger.

Still hopeful there's a player in there somewhere. He was however rotten today and rightly hooked.

Was glad when he came off today. Thought Deila was showing sense in taking a struggling player off, cos he was effing stinking all day. Sadly GMS was rank as well.

He used to take a good corner. That takes practice, I don't think we do that.
As for his general play. He's not even putting a shift in. Looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

An alarming regression on the player who arrived.

Scott Allan turns 24 this week, yet hasn't played 100 career first team games.
The majority of those he has played have been in the lower leagues of England and Scotland.
I find the faith some folk have in this untested quantity puzzling.

The Dundee United boys aren't good enough.
Changing the manager might solve some problems, but it won't solve that one.

This annoys me: the idea that other Scottish clubs are better at set pieces than us.
They aren't.
Year on year we score more goals from set plays than any other side.

I find it highly unlikely, therefore, that Armstrong's set piece delivery at Utd was any better than his set piece delivery now.
The only difference is that we're now seeing all the crosses that don't result in chances or goals.
Sportscene has a lot to answer for...

The comparison was to his first few months at Celtic.

Armstrong is good enough but his form isnt. You look at the bench today and you see why he's still getting a game.

Not really had a good game since Malmo/Inverness at home (forget which was first). Has the ability, proved it last season.

Allan should take his place.

I don't think he has contributed a great deal since he has has came to the club, great assist for Scott Brown's goal at Pittodrie is something that springs to mind but overall I would say his contribution has been poor. Too easy possessed and his corners are tolley.

Anthony Stokes is a better footballer than either Armstrong or GMS. Can't believe how these guys are getting game time, they've been pish for ages now!

Allen would be stuck out wide just like Armstrong .

Would like to have seen Tierney come on for Armstrong. He is crucially playing with confidence, something GMS and Armstrong are lacking.
Lawwell points to Bitton and Rogic as players Ronny has improved, but unfortunately there is a longer list of players who have gone backwards.
