Happy to admit that I wanted him gone last season. But he's showing what he offers under BR and in a central role. That Deila couldnt see the potential he had says a lot.

Two goals aside, the most impressive thing I noticed tonight was his willingness to chase everything down. Was one point in the second half where he had a shot blocked, it spun out to the corner flag, and he was the first guy out there, hemming Thistle into their own half, forcing them to have a throw-in, down in their corner.

As much as I remain ambivalent to international football, a Scotland call up must be due. He deserves it.

Deila couldn't see his potential? Is that why he signed him from Dundee United and started him against Inter Milan a
a few weeks later?

Armstrong was bothered by a recurring back injury for much of last season, and that could explain his 'loss of form'/ lack of games.

Deila can be accused of many things, but I think he liked Armstrong as a player.

I think we're all delighted to be proven wrong, when it means a player is making his mark at the Celtic!
Keep it up, Stuart

who is this man wearing Stuart Armstrong's hair?

It's impossible to recognise Armstrong from the bag of nerves he was last season, he has been in incredible form of late. It should be mentioned that his current form has made Scott Brown's job a whole lot easier, and Brown is a major beneficiary of this new , improved Stuart Armstrong. Long may it continue.

I was delighted when we signed him as I rated him very highly.

He's looking like the player I hoped we were signing :)

Think it is.

Armstrong looks a totally different player - improving by the week and suits a BR team far more than Bitton.

Looks much stronger on the ball , working like a horse, inventive and a constant threat.

Until a few weeks ago I thought he would eventually have made way for a better quality of player - I am not so sure now.

Brown is looking like, acting like and playing like Lothar Matthäus at the moment because Stuart Armstrong is playing so well too box to box. Bitton is great at putting a foot on the ball and slowing the game down but thats not what we need.

Bitton only has himself to blame. Had a great six months under RD culminating in the Inter games then his head shot up his arse. He obviously thought he'd be getting snapped up by an EPL club.

Then last season he produced some of the weakest, cowardly performances I've seen from a Celtic player.

I was sure he'd be dynamite again under BR as he's that type of player Rodgers likes, keeping the ball, moving it quickly, but he's obviously not doing enough to get into the team.

Can't argue that he deserves a start above Brown or Armstrong.

Ach, we'll find a place for him. You can't afford to leave out a man who has the ability to dominate games he doesn't even play in.

Night and day to where he was not so long ago, coming on in leaps and bounds to become the player he looked like he was going to be when he signed. Boundless energy, never stops running and chasing, getting a few goals now as well. If he can continue to improve at this rate he is going to be an absolute star, his energy, box-to-box running and now goals are beginning to make him resemble a new version of Petrov.

Bitton's time here should have been at an end the moment he tried to feign injury to get out of the cup semi final against Sevco.
