It's all about being self-critical.

That energy :o

It's not just the closing down. It's closing down every ball, making dangerous runs into the box AND making those selfless runs he knows he won't get on the end of but will create the space for the man on the ball.

Great performance.

He was brilliant today. He uses both feet as well which is sorely missing from this team.

Night and day compared to the start of the season. I'd completely written him off. Fair play to him.

I wonder what was hampering his performances so much earlier in the season/last season. It can't simply be a confidence thing, he looks much, much stronger and faster than he did.

A green and white metronome in the second half.

His best game for us today.
Tackled, chased, harried, but had the quality to impact the game massively in the final third.

He had a long standing back injury, possibly that has been overcome now??

At this stage last season Ronny Deila was destroying his confidence by playing him on the left wing. :nono:
Stuart is such a clever player and is clearly relishing, and learning from, playing alongside Broony.

He was astonishingly good today. And there's more to come from him.

EDIT: Sorry lads, forgot to mention his luscious locks. Lovely hair, innit.

Today he was almost as fantastic as his hair.

Honestly though, top, top performance.

Thought he was our best player in the first as well though. Only one really kicking his arse in the 1st half.

Covered every blade of grass, tackled, scored and kept going right to the end.

There was always ability but he seemed to lack belief, confidence and heart.

This is the difference a GREAT manager makes to players.

Keep it up Stuart.
