Played well yesterday but he's frustratingly wasteful in front of goal.

He really needs to tidy up this part of his game. Really lacks composure in crucial moments.

So do we think he'll end up being converted to right wing-back, in a reverse-Petrov gambit by Rodgers?

I am enjoying generally how BR is making sure everyone in our squad is displaying personal improvement. He's sorted Broony and Forrest out and is now working on Armstrong and McGregor ... like when you could assign development points in ISS Pro circa 2001

For tougher games I think we'll stick with 4-2-3-1, for easy home games I think we should pick names out of a hat for the craic.

Deserved his MOTM award yesterday, played really well. Could and possibly should have scored a couple as well.

Things will be easier if you stop offering opinions on players. You wouldn't know one if he booted you up the arse.

Happy with Armstrong being in the team just now, and looks like he is really enjoying his football. Good match again last night and looks like a player ready to take his game to the next level.

Even if we go and spend a bit of money on a midfielder in January can still see Armstrong having plenty more impact this season. Long may his form continue.

There's definitely a place for him in the squad but we still need much better in centre midfield.

Had high hopes Armstrong would flourish under BR.

I'm not sure if he's a genuine no.10. More of a box to box midfielder. He'd be called a no.8 in Germany.

His last two goals for us have been really important. He looks much more positive on the pitch now. Clearly an intelligent guy. Would like to think that will help him improve. There's still a lot lacking in his game but I think he has something to offer

His last two goals have been brilliant finishes too. completely done the keeper both times. very composed in front of the goal it seems.

Exactly this. Rodgers sees a player in there. Rooting for the lad.

Did he have a good game last night?

I see a lot of people having him in their top 3 but others in the match thread and also other threads having a pop at him?

Worked hard all night and fought for every loose ball but fairly often it was his own loose ball he was fighting for.

He gives the ball away far too often and far too cheaply to ever be a success at European level.

Worked his socks off all night. Few slack passes but overall I was happy with how he played.
