Should be made into a permanent right back at which point we can speculate about his ability to convert to defensive midfield.

Brilliant shift today. Physical, quick and went full throttle for 90mins. Should have scored though
Wasn't your half time analysis

Sorry - thought you'd posted this in the match thread about the team's 90 min performance.

Agree Armstrong was tremendous throughout

The way his energy levels were today, and have been for a while, makes you think there was something quite wrong with him for a long period of last season. He was tiring very quickly, couldn't get around the pitch. Might have been ill or injured but he's certainly sorted now. He was outstanding today.

Super today. Should have buried a header in the first half after a great run from right back position.

Love how Brendan is getting the best out of him, with the arm around the shoulder.

He was blowing out his arse very early on Wednesday. Dont know if that was due to intensity of game or down to loss of energy through nerves

Covered a huge amount of ground today. Impressive performance by the lad.

Has he qualified as a lawyer yet?
Don't know. Think the jury's still out. ;)

He was fabulous today, and after seeing him struggling near the end on Tuesday, I'm staggered at the energy he showed today. He has a chance if he could start to believe in himself. We may yet get to see the player we thought we were getting. I really hope so, because he has a brilliant attitude.

Great game today. His perpetual motion style unsettles the opposition somewhat.

Excellent performance today - if he maintains that energy and quality (forbye goal efforts) we've got the midfielder we hoped we had

Absolutely superb today playing in an unfamiliar position. Dealt defensively with anything that was asked of him and he covered a lot of ground. Looked absolutely out on his feet towards the end, but he deserved a goal.

Not good enough for Scotland though. Not tall enough, probably.
