BR again emphasising his best position is in the middle of the park, that he's working hard, and that he's still working on his pressing.

He's coming along very well - would love to see him start to push Bitton.
Push Bitton, and Rogic. If big Tom doesn't score, he barely has an influence on the game, as he inevitably gets subbed after 60/65min.
Rogic usually plays decisive passes and keeps the ball well to allow other players to move. not really that innefective.

I thought that he was really good yesterday. On at least 3 occasions he played accurate forward passes through tight gaps that found there intended target - Bitton would have undoubtedly turned and passed the ball back in those situations.
Also thought his work-rate was excellent which takes some of the pressure off Broony to maintain the press and high tempo. Also a great Robsonesque run (Bryan not Barry) which would have put the icing on the cake of his performance if he had managed to finish it.

I think he deserves it. For me he has to play through the middle though, not the same player when he is forced out wide.

What wrong did he do to be punished with a Scotland call-up ? :(

Really hope working under Brendan Rodgers develops him into a top player. He still has a great deal of potential and if he can add the elements that he maybe misses, like pressing better and becoming a more of a combative bastard on the field (he can still be a nice guy off it if he wants), then I think he could become the centre mid that we are needing.

Definitely improved in recent weeks and showing more now than it appeared for long enough he was capable of. If he can find more aggression he'll become a regular in the starting X1.

He's a mobile player with a bit of pace, the type BR wants and if the last couple of matches are an indication, he'll relegate Bitton to the bench if he's not already done that.

Was alright first half, but terrible second. So sloppy with passing. I'd still give him a run at centre mid just now.

Incredibly frustrating player.

Should be much more effective than he is.

Needs to be braver in possession.

Too knackered running around daft to pick a good pass at the end of it.

Agree with both sentiments. If he makes it with us, it will be in the central midfield but only if he gets a grip of his ball distribution.

His passing is pretty shampooe. The most frustrating player tonight.

Still not convinced.

Better than Bitton though.

Played well and miles better than Biton in a midfield 2. Tired badly after the hour though.

Did make a few mistakes in possession but thought he was generally quite positive and we seemed abit more fluid with him in the team tonight!
Has to be taken into account this was his first champions league start

Will occasionally turn in the kind of performance in Scotland which makes you think there could be something there. At that level tonight he's miles away, it was awful. Seen enough.

Mixed bag for him tonight. Put a good shift in but frustratingly sloppy too often. I'm not convinced by him but BR seems to rate him so I'll happily wait and see how he develops
