I honestly think he has a real chance to become a very good player.
Seems to have everything required, just needs to be a bit harder & not so easily pushed out the game.
Brendan must be like an elixir to the entire squad.

One tiny step forward, two steps back for Armstrong. I thought he was toilet last night. His shooting was beyond erratic, and from positions not even Rogic could score from. Did nothing to open up the defence.

seemed like he was in the box for a tap in after a great run from deep so many times last night without ever receiving the ball. Must be frustrating for him but I'm sure that's why Rogers rates him. If he keeps doing that, and if his team mates start to become more aware of it, I think we will see the best of him

His 20 minutes against the huns is the most impressive he's been, taking over from Rogic and playing behind the striker. Got his move to the middle last night ( as so many on here wanted) and he was pretty poor the whole game. It crossed my mind that while at Dundee Utd, teams like Alloa often put them out the cups.

Armstrong has the talent, but just not sure he has that win every game mentality that you need to play for us.

Correct - he is a very poor footballer imo- has had his chances and should be no where near a first team starter ;)

That's exactly the issue, he's doesn't strike me as a natural born winner who'll take any game by the scruff of the neck to ensure we win, more likely to hide

Its funny you should mention Rogic. His own shooting was terrible last night and overall he was very poor. Armstrong started slowly but came onto a game in the second half.

I fully agree that Rogic was poor last night, but Rogic, in a way, has "earnt" the right to have the odd bad game, Armstrong hasn't. Rogic has "earnt" the right to shoot from 20-30 yards, Armstrong hasn't.

Arsmtrong has been poor for a very long time and last night it almost looked like he said "eff it, I'm done anyway, may as well go out with a bang" with some of his efforts. I remember specifically three shots from outside the area: one hit the defender who was 1 yard in front of him, another was dragged well wide and another was blasted over the crossbar from a ridiculous distance.

It was ridiculous for some Celtic fans to announce that Armstrong was back on track after a half hour cameo, largely against 10 men.

Maybe multiple consecutive good performances would be a more useful indicator.

He was played as one of the holding two last night - i.e. he came in for Bitton. That's not his position. Unfortunately for the position Armstrong best suits it is he or Rogic, and Rogic is king in there. Although both were rotten last night.

He wasn't playing as a holding midfielder at all.

The amount of excuses made for him are baffling.

He played in the centre of midfield last night, exactly where people have been clamouring for him to play. He did nothing.

His best position is in the '10' which Rogic occupies, that was my point. He played deeper than that last night.

No excuses made - he was poor and wasteful. As was Rogic.

He wasn't great last night but I thought he was much better than rogic who looked like he was playing with a rugby ball.

His best game since....the last time we played them. Is it just them who make him look good? If he played like that on a regular basis he'd merit a start over Bitton.
