He hit a fantastic shot not long before the goal.

see what happens when he is played in his proper position?
That would've been a whopper - very good save

I was genuinely surprised when he came on and even more surprised with how well he played.Hopefully a fresh start under Rodgers is a catalyst to kick start his career with us, time will tell.

Watching him yesterday reminded me of Bobby Petta. Useless under a shampooe manager. but influential under a good manager. Same goes for Forrest.

Finally played in the position he was signed for: central attacking midfielder.

The boy has something to offer.

What he needs is comfidence.
Pish. Played LM for DU and played well there for us. This out of position stuff is nonsense.
He plays better when playing centrally from what i have seen.

I'm new. Be gentle.
I was annoyed when Armstrong was coming on ahead of McGregor... need to learn to not question BR anymore. He clearly knows his stuff better than any of us ever will. Armstrong turned out to be the perfect player to shut down their shoddy midfield with his robust energy.

One of the great things about BR is that he seems to be making all of our underachieving players play better than they have in a long, long time (or ever have). Lustig, Bitton and Armstrong were all woeful at times last season, but all three turned in excellent performances when it mattered yesterday.

I'd start Armstrong in the Nou Camp if Rogic is indeed injured, as his ability to press the ball and burst forward with pace could be valuable. He may have elevated himself about other options like Christie and Henderson as the guy to come in whenever Tom R is unfit or unavailable. Good to have him looking like an exciting and useful squad player again after many underperforming months.

Wasn't happy when I saw he was coming on, he played great and slotted into the game as if he had been playing from the start.

There are a lot of games between now and January/the end of the season so he will get a chance to show he has improved under Rodgers.

I've been pretty critical of him over the last wee while but he looked like a different player yon Saturday. Hopefully he can keep it going.

I wonder of that gives the likes of Izzy, Henderson, Christie hope.

Even if you seem on the periphery for a couple of weeks doesn't mean that you are out of the manager's thinking

They are different,it's good to have an alternative. Interesting comments '“I have spoken to the manager and it was good opportunity because we were both able to express ourselves,” said Armstrong. “It feels like an entirely different Celtic team – different mentally, different physically, different tactically and all for the better. Everyone wants to be a part of it.

“I have a clear picture ion my head of what I need to do. That last half hour in a number 10 position was fantastic for me and something I really enjoyed. The goal was the icing on the cake.

“That is where I am most comfortable. Hopefully people can see that. It is where I enjoy football the most, it is where I think I make the best contribution. So it is just about taking chances when I get them.”

Interesting to read BR sees him as a no.10. I thought he might try to turn him into a Jordan Henderson style midfielder.

If that goes in it's more of a fault of the keeper's than credit to the scorer. It was reachable and at a perfect height for the keeper.

Excellent game regardless

Did very well when he came on. It was the right time to take Rogic off as we were a little under the cosh at the time, I think the inclusion of Armstrong may have surprised more than a few people (myself included) but glad it all worked out in the end - whatever Rodgers is doing with Armstrong in training it's certainly working, he played with a belief that we haven't seen of him since he first signed - long may it continue as it's a long season and he'll no doubt have his part to play.

Think with Rogic playing so well,he is stepping up to the mark ( a bit like forest bouncing off PR) Can only be good for us in the long run.

I`d written him off after a poor start to the season. Always thought there`s a player in there though and that maybe mentally he wasn`t strong enough to play for us.

He was excellent on Saturday, he needs to do it when he starts games too. Reminds me a lot of Billy Stark in his movement and timing of runs in that role, though big ghostie could play deeper too.
