Forgot he could play like that. Played with real purpose, as opposed to his more recent appearances where he's just layed the ball off and generally not been involved.

Took the goal brilliantly and looked delighted/relieved afterwards. Hopefully the new man can get him playing like that every week.

Play him centre midfield every game I am sure he will be a player for us
He didn't play CM.
No he certainly did not line up in center mid but he sure came inside a lot.
Just look at where he scored his goal from.
That's exactly the role he's meant to play everytime he starts out on the left. He's not played as a winger there.

Made the difference having players to play off of. Many times McGregor and Christie made them selves available for a quick pass inside. So often this season there was nothing on for him and he would take the extra touch and lose the ball. Slowly but surely he would drop out the game and pretty much hid. Big season next year and needs to stand up and be counted

Felt a bit sorry for him yesterday. Had he scored that a month or two ago he would have been well in for goal of the season. It was as good as any I can remember

I've argued this point before. But apparently he's just a shampooebag with no touch, no skill and no heart.

He's had a terrible season but anyone could see that games like yesterday he was always more than capable of when he'd get the finger out. I've said before a player like him needs to play in a side set up to play good, quick passing football with movement off the ball. Putting him in a midfield which contains Brown, Bitton and Johansen just doesn't help his game at all. That isn't to excuse his performances though because he simply hasn't performed well enough this season but I'm confident he'll kick on next season.

Play him in his correct position and you get what we paid big money for, he is a box to box player and I hope he kicks on from yesterday.

He played on the left yesterday, which is the exact same position he has played so poorly in this season.

His abject form this year has nothing to do with his position and everything to do with his mentality and ability to get himself involved in games (and also the fact that our midfield more generally has been totally dysfunctional all season).

He was excellent yesterday and I hope he can keep it up. But he needs to do it when the pressure is on.

Fingers crossed. The lad definitely has ability. When he is flying and confident he glides across the pitch and defenders find it hard to pin him down. He certainly seems like a likeable chap bit not one who can assert himself. He needs players round him to gee him on. That role should have been played by the likes of Brown and Johansen butthey've had their own troubles to seek this season. Deila got it all wrong this year by continuing to go with 'older heads' when it was clear they were letting him down. Ultimately they got him over the line but I think he will look back and regret not letting the youngsters off the leash more often.

Plays a lot better with his teammates show a bit of appetite and movement off the ball. Lot easier to link play when the two central midfielders aren't strolling around 30 yards behind the play pointing at other players to pass to.

This is it in a nutshell. Game suited him perfectly yesterday. No pressure, nice day on a bowling green of a pitch when the team in general were at it. He needs to toughen up and perform when it matters when the circumstances arent so friendly. He has ability but just needs to get nastier.
