I couldn't give a eff if he's unhappy playing there, fact is he played there for Dundee Utd.
So he played on the left many, many times.
You having a mental breakdown online isn't going to change that fact.

Edit: I've also not "slaughtered him" you effing drama queen

You don't seem fhe sharpest tool in the box bud, so let's spell it out for you.

He may have played a few games at left midfield for Dundee United.

That doesn't make him a left midfielder any more than Tommy Burns was a lett back when he played there to cover for injury.

He hates it, he doesn't think he is a left midfielder.

Ergo he is not a left midfielder. Amd wasn't signed as one.

Keep shouting and abusing folk as loud as you like.

It still won't make you right.👍.
He was playing left midfield for Dundee United when he signed for us.
He made his debut for us at left midfield.

Really hard to believe that he wasn't signed as a left midfielder.

If you can't pass, tackle or dribble playing from the left, what difference will a slight shift inside make to your game?
The answer, as we've seen in the matches Armstrong has started centrally, is none.

It's a shame, but he isn't good enough.

Got a bit of talent but he's a bit of a girls blouse.
Same as his pal GMS.
There are countless players with far less talent who are far more effective footballers.

He's not a left winger.

He's not a central midfielder.

He's a raumdeuter. :arrr: Not a very good one at the moment.

He has been a disappointment and I would like to think he is one of many under performing players that will do better under a new manager. I don't hold out much hope as he seems to lack the technical ability or drive to play in his current position and there are others I would have in there before him.

he's not very good.

heart of a effin mouse, runs around, doesn't do much, hardly scores & hardly assists.

punt in the summer if we get an offer for him.

Still a player, get some games in him back in the centre where he belong, what a goal today.

That was the Stuart Armstrong that we signed playing today. He's been a shadow of himself this season. I'm convinced it was a mental thing as the talent has always been there. Hopefully he comes into his own next season.

Talent there but needs to be more confident, have a bit of bottle and take responsibility next season, the pressure was all off today.

Have we had him locked in a cupboard all season and have been letting his doppleganger play instead? Different player today.

So what is this guy's best position?

Any potential for him to be moulded into a central defensive mid or would that be a waste?

Puts to bed the nonsense that he's 'not a left winger'.

He played the same position today as he has all season but for whatever reason decided to show up and actually show his ability today. If he could do that every week he'd be an absolute star.

He doesn't seem to handle pressure well, which is an issue if you play for Celtic. Maybe a new manager will get the best out of him.
