He always looked up on Celtic as a means to an end and another move. Absolutely nowt wrong with that - I believe he has enjoyed his time at CP. Was a good signing, we made a profit and he won 4 league medals as well as 2 Scottish Cup s and 2 league cups. He was good for Celtic and Celtic have been good for him. Wish him all the best. Now spend some money on an RB and CH pronto please.

6 terrific months in BRs first season followed by a whole lot of mediocrity. Not really bothered to see him move on, which is very different from the way I felt this time last year.
Sounds about right.

BBC website suggesting initial £7M with add ons. If so, for a player with mixed form and one year left that's excellent business.
Pretty much covers the reported Eddie fee, that is a great bit of business

He's got the athleticism to do well in the Championship, and is young enough to develop for Southampton.

We get £10m for a player who obviously didn't want to be here long-term.

A win-win all round.

We need to replace him, though.
He'll need to wait until next season to see what the Championship is like

Fee is 7m plus add ons. That’s pretty good going!
Thats a brilliant fee considering he has 1year left, wants to leave and we paid £500k for him.

Wish him well but head was turned last year, shame as he was superb in the the invincible season.

We paid close to 2 million for him. Agree it's great business though

Na. £2m double deal for him and GMS. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/31088504

And we'd already offered £250k for GMS, so it was £1.75m

If the fee is correct that is a fine bit of business.

Im wondering if Dundee United had aselling on clause? 10% seems the standard clause on profit so 500k if they have one.

Can't grumble with £7m when he's in the last year of his deal, but it's only a good deal if we replace him adequately.

I think we'll miss him more than people think.

He made very little contribution last season. I’m not sure what we would miss.

They also have the Southampton manager as Mauricio Pellegrino so shows how much they know.
