Armstrong is that guy who plays for your Saturday morning team. Good player, comes from Clarkston I think. No one can really remember who first brought him to training but he comes out for a few pints after the game. Doesn't really say much, just laughs along kind of nervously, but he always gets his round in. Mostly stands at the back sipping his pint, before his missus picks him up about 4 o'clock in her silver Renault Clio. Sure he works for RBS through in Edinburgh.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Guess we'll soon see..
If we get £6m for him they should erect a statue of Lawwell outside the stadium.
£6M would be the minimum we’d get if the likes of Southampton are after him.

I would like him to stay but if he doesn't want to be here punt him ,as someone else said he's not good enough to play this game with us. The discussion on his drop in form this season is a bit harsh IMO , he played with a hernia for god knows how long, then had an op, then had to get back to match sharpness, then looked ok near the end of the season, for me that cuts him some slack.

He's only got a year on his contract. £6m we'd snap a teams hands off and rightly so.

I wonder if we might consider keeping him for the last year of his contract if we don’t get an acceptable offer. He didn’t cost a lot & one last good year might be worth more than a low transfer fee.

He seems the sort that wouldn’t let being in the last year upset him & may prove to be a valuable squad player next season.

Of course if we got an offer of £6m I’d sell in a heartbeat,

Naw.

Any return is better than what in all probability would be an average season. Reinvest in a player who wants to be here.

He's a player who'll have a good career but won't really make a lasting impression anywhere. I think he's a fantastic player with his running power and the angles he creates to break the lines.

I don't think he has any particular fondness for the clubs he plays for. Nothing wrong with that but he won't be remembered in the grand scheme of things.

The runs and the angles of those runs always reminded me of Alan Tait returning to play centre for the Scottish Rugby union team, after years of playing Rugby League. He would make runs differently from his team-mates who had never played Rugby League.

Armstrong isn't the first players thats reminded me of rugby, but he's the only one that isn't a thug.

For a player who had a great 6 months he seems to think he's better than he really is hope the club sell him asap and bring a top quality player who can perform consistently long term.

Good player and definately gives us something different but if he doesn't want to be here then sell. No long winded will he, won't he sign like last year. Get rid and move on to strengthening the squad further.
