I think he’s staying, didn’t look like his farewell at the final.

Signing an 18 month extension, one year left kind of beats being happy at winning the final.

Any chance he is staying? Think he was superb in Brendan's first year but he didn't offer enough last year that would leave me gutted if we decided doing a will he/ won't he extend drama every summer is worth it.

I'm not sure that his farewell would look too different from his non-farewell.

I would have expected some kind of farewell, but you never know.

Would be mental to leave. Like most of this side is not going to play under a better manager for a bigger supported side.

I get the impression he wants to make money in England and then he's set for life

How much is relative. I reckon he's set up as it is.
I hope he moves on, as his sights seem elsewhere in any case.

If his hearts not in it,,,Brendan will know, and he'll be selling him in the summer if there are buyers willing to pay what the club are after. On the other hand..I'd love it if he signed a new (long term) contract...if he and his agent are just looking at another 1 year extension (no particular reason to believe they're doing so)!then I'd sell. All being well...he signs a 4 year contract and is part of the club for a while yet.

If he goes we have to be asking for far more than £4million no matter his contract situation. Those days are gone and can't be allowed to return.

Would much rather he signs again, really don't want to be losing Armstrong for around £4m.

A few interested suitors at starting price. Probably £6m final.
