His best game of the season by a distance. What a difference.
I would agree. For the first hour he was very good and greatly influenced our play. Disappeared after that, which probably just reflects his fitness.

He was back to his best today. Added to that, he was the first player to react to the assault on Broony and got right in the face of that thug Davies as others just stood and claimed

Noticed that too. A little disappointed more players didn’t react like that, but good on Armstrong for getting the coward telt

Contract or not, like him or not , we are a far more dynamic ( and Rodgers like team ) with him in it.

Securing him and Rogic in the summer against the odds would be a massive boost for us.
Would be, but from their point of view they'd be signing up to be one of 4 or so players competing for one position. I wonder if any of them are factoring in how often they currently play into the decision to re-sign

Watch it again - Ajer runs up from central defence but as you say, good to see some assertive backup against an assault on Broony.

On the subject of Armstrong, as pleasing as it was to see him up for it from the first whistle, he needs to get a run of consistent, match-winning performances under his belt to turn around what has been a poor season for him. That said, he’s a joy to watch when on form.

Loved his attitude when Broony was stamped on. Hurdled a player to try and get to the guy who had assaulted his captain.
He was so up for it yesterday. Great game.

Agreed there mozza, his runs from the inside channel were a delight. Hope we can keep Stuart.

Desperate for him to stay he gives that runner in behind and can travel with the ball better than the others.A lot of our other midfielders are similar Armstrong gives us something completely different.

I thought Armstrong was excellent for the first hour yesterday and had a real appetite for the game. The fact the Griffiths, Roberts and him have all came back from injury will hopefully add that wee spark we have been missing of late and serve us well for the run in

And another thing, his return led to a marked improvement in our dead ball delivery.

Seems clear he was carrying the hernia injury earlier in the season, hence his poor form.

Once he gets his match fitness levels up to scratch he'll be like a new signing

I get the impression having watched him over the years that everything needs to be 'just so' in the world of Armers to get the best from him, he can at times cut a dejected figure, not on Saturday.

He could do with lobbing an additional year on to his contract, at least, and really look to maximize performance over a full season next year and then he'd have his pick of clubs. My worry for us is he wants to try something new, my worry for him is he's not ready to leave, he might never be and Celtic might be the best place for him to develop and forge a career like the man alongside him at the weekend.

I look at Moussa or KT and I'd think they could go anywhere and play and it wouldn't phase them, I look at Armers and think that although the wider world must hold great appeal he'd really be better off with us long term and might regret leaving.

The main ones are staying home. The ones that are going are fine to go, accepting that Armstrong likely wont be here past this summer

And Hendry.

Surprised Griffiths is not in there. Not had a lot of game time recently. Might have been good to get him sharper.
