Ive seen games where the guy has shined and felt hopeful that he would really prove to be an excellent Celtic player.

But then there are just as many games where he has been mediocre.

Right now its a really uneven spell from Armstrong; doesnt look confident & doesnt look comfortable in the position hes playing (tho last night started more central).

I've asked people who seem to know whats going on in the background if he is playing through an injury without a reply. Is he injurred - if so drop him to recover, switch McGregor over to his side if need be and bring Allan into the first XI

The only other reason for his indifferent form is his physical conditioning; is there something to the questions about his commitment to football? If so he's a passenger and we cant have a guy like that in the squad - we're told of how difficult circumstances we are operating re player recruitment, so why opt for a luxury of player who isnt fully committed?

I was at work last night so had to rely on the Radio commentary, from what I heard of the 1st half, added to the comments from the likes of Willie Miller and Mark Wilson , it seemed like Armstrong was one of our better performers. They singled out McGregor and Bitton as having contributed nothing, Bitton in particular was getting stick from Miller for playing like a coward. was Armstrong really that bad that most posters on here have singled him out. Sunday was the same, He was poor but never hid or stopped looking to do something.

Bitton was awful but he didn't hide. McGregor was the worst player on the park followed by Armstrong & GMS.

 Fair enough was just going by radio comments (Admittedly Wilson probably isnt going to slate Armstrong)

Hide and seek champion
Not even close. He's Highland league standard compared to the hide & seek meister, Mr. James Forrest

One of the most heartless players I've ever witnessed pull on the hoops. I thought he had the potential to be a star but there you go.

I had high hopes for Armstrong after his first few games but he's been bollocks recently. Looks every inch a Dundee Utd player.

I like my wide players to have pace and a wee trick to get past a man. He's got neither.

Although he never hides and he does have a wee bit of ability on the ball (apart from shooting). He desperately needs to get something about his game, especially if he has any aspirations of playing in the centre.

Edit: He only has to look at Scott Brown. Armstrong is easily much better on the ball, but Brown has the other attributes Armstrong requires.

Think he bases his game on Samuel L Jackson's character in Unbreakable

I disagree. He's been shampooe pretty much the whole time he's been here but he's not even one of the most heartless in this squad never mind in our whole history.

Clearly makes a new year's resolution not to be pish but let's old habits creep back in by February

Other than 5 or 6 good games immediately after signing, he's been a big disappointment.

Didn't think he was worth signing, and just as I was admitting I was wrong, I was right

God, we're suckers for a good interview aren't we? Since his initial press conference and Celtic TV spot, it's all been downhill. He has nothing about him. He's an empty shirt. Another one who's managed to coast thanks to the fact that he seems a decent sort.

Had such high hopes for him, but seems like a total floof with no fight along with most of the rest of the team

Hes pretty clever and if given a run in his actual position he would be far better.

Can maybe criticise a lack of fight but that is rampant through the full team. His coaching, like many others, is clearly not making him better and indeed looks like its having a negative impact.

He looks like he'd rather not be playing football at all, let alone playing amid our current malaise.

His passing is dreadful.
Why would a slight shift in his starting position improve it?

His performances for Utd took them to 4th in a crap league.
He looks that kind of player.
