think he was 1 of the players who rodgers was talking about after game about not being CL level....far more effective for us at spl level and more of an attacking threat than ntcham in scotland , so that is probably why he starts a lot of games here....he was rubbish last night but i still like to see him in the team in scottish league games..he has been better than Sinclair in the spfl games this season who strangely seems to escape criticism almost all the time

Playing like he thinks he’s doing us a favour by being here. Would have been gutted if he had went in the summer, back to being not bothered if he goes.
I think he's in for a shock this summer when few, if any, EPL teams come knocking on his door. He did incredibly well to force his way into the first team but he's delusions of grandeur if he thinks he's genuinely an EPL level talent. Is he the midfield equivalent of Dembele or Tierney? On the evidence of this season, he's a long way off that. Indeed, his form in the second half of last season seems to have been the exception rather than the rule during his time here.

I get the impression he is the type of player that needs to be playing regularly... when he is in and out of the team, his consistency drops, unfortunately that means that he can't be relied upon when called upon

On current form Nycham is the only option ATM. Unless he shows something in the next few weeks to prove otherwise this is arguably his most important period since he's been at the club he can either be inspired to hit the heights or if not I would guess be shown the door by the end of Jan.

Matt Phillips, James McArthur et al. I think he will be fine.

A few bad games ffs and all hell breaks lose, doesn’t help the lad when the booing starts after 5 mins some arses in our support.
This. Unfortunately heard some divvies targeting wee james as well, (after the month hes had) as the frustration grew. If someone could point out how booing and outright hostility towards a player, will make him play better, then I'd like to see it.

I never heard any booing, he took plenty of pelters for mistakes and rightly so as there were far too many.

Rodgers obviously agreed with the majority of us and hooked him at halftime. Was that an over the top reaction?

Terrible again last night. Unrecognisable from last season and has this infuriating ability to be on the wrong side of his opponents. Needs left out for a while to see if he can get back to where he was last year.
He hardly tore it up in the CL last year so hardly unrecognisable. He’s not a top level player.
He is a very limited player and I would have sold him last year. He is a threat because he can score goals and certainly usually takes his chances well, but there is very little else to his game. He doesnt do many forward passes that create chances, he cant tackle and his positional sense in defence is terrible. The minute he is not scoring he offers very little to the team.

Displayed a proper lack of commitment with his pishy contract extension, in face of Rodgers basically reviving his stuttering career and hes been rotten since.

Hope hes gone in January.

Sinclair has been poor, but has continued to pop up with goals every couple of weeks which always defuses any continued criticism.

He's a runner and a grafter but often the game requires more than that - especially at European level where, as Brendan says, you need to take care of the ball. His passing isn't good enough at the higher level and simply running with the ball won't cut it when defences work in packs and just close you down or force you down blind alleys.

Totally get your point but to be fair they were both particularly pish on Tuesday night.

As for the booing and what have you - it comes with the territory along with the xK wages and bonuses in their monthly pay packets.

I heard booing at full time. I can't get my head round why anyone would think that was the right answer.

The problem was that he didn't run or graft the other night. Had he been playing poorly but shutting down their players and putting tackles in there wouldn't be this reaction. He was walking about like a zombie.

There was a lot of frustration on Tuesday, mainly built up from us not bothering our arse to win a game of football for half an hour.

In the grand scheme of things the other night didn't matter but yet that was the first time I've walked away from a Celtic game thinking I've been short changed

I never. I just heard a collective sigh and everyone grumbling about how shampooe a match it was.

Not saying there wasn’t any booing, but wasn’t very audible, and probably just a few glory hunters.
