Scuffed chance, started slow and grew into the game, not his best performance but some of the comments.....dear god
I'm amazed that the essence of his performance boils down to a mishampoo corner kick. Goal chance was an error though but forward players don't get nearly the stick defenders get for cock ups generally.

None of the midfield options are currently firing consistently in the way Armstrong was last season. All of the options to play in there with Brown are playing in fits and starts. Nevertheless, you can always predict with accuracy who will get it tightest.

I actually worry there are too many options and not enough stand out performers, so it would be a good time for Armstrong to get it together. It's inviting quite a bit of chopping and changing and we're often not getting any consistency and it affects the amount of purpose we've got when attacking.

Armstrong's form is as symptomatic of something a little bit off with the team as Sinclair. We absolutely monstered an Aberdeen team that played right into our hands with their ludicrous two up top, but there has often been little consistency in what we are doing.

Time for the midfield to step up.

'Monster' as a verb.

New. Like it, though.

Excellent today.
He was.

I'm a big fan of him due to drive, energy and being direct.

When he is on song in the team we play so much better.

One of his best games this season. Unlucky not to score and at the heart of everything we did well in that first half.

This. He brings real pace to our attacks and scares the shampoo out of defences when driving forward.

Back to his best, I love watching him drive at other teams with the ball. Having MF´s that can beat a man makes us a much better side, Armstrong is superb at it.

He is indeed getting back to his best. If BR could work his magic on his passing he would be even better.

A great drive form middle of the park. Seems quicker with the ball than without. The only man breaking lines for 65 minutes. Excellent.

His 2 best games since summer back to back. Hopefully the international break doesn't ruin his momentum and he can continue to improve leading up to the Anderlecht game.

With his game it's certainly dependant on a forward that can hold the ball up well to allow him the chance to get forward. I do remember us playing really well at the end of last season though when LG came back in too. Maybe in a different style, Moussa certainly seems the better option against CL opposition. Will be interesting to see him in Paris on his home turf, desperate to impress. If jozo can get fit for that one too we'll see how much it improves us from the home tie.
Lucky to have a player like LG as backup too.
