He's got high expectations which are justified based on last season's performance. Hopefully he just needs a bit of run and a few goals to get back to old ways; for what it's worth, I think he's doing a good job defensively right now with some of his covering runs and tracking back being really important.

He is making more money this season and can play at a higher level than he is at the moment though so you'd expect him to get better pretty soon.

Not at the same levels as last season but then again he's been out injured plus not playing in as settled an 11. Seems to be playing a bit better now after a very poor start.

I'm sure he'll come good again he'd definitely be in the starting 11 on ability. However on this form maybe a chance for McGregor to get a run of games.

Thought he did fine, particularly in the 1st half. A few stray passes in the 2nd half and rightly subbed.

The guy will come good again, some don't half jump on players backs. Hampden on Saturday few guys beside me were berating him all game and kept going back to the contract situation. I believe its clouding folks judgement.

With the contract situation I think he simply wants to keep his options open as I believe he harbours ambitions of playing in England at some point. He's perfectly entitled to do this.

Misplaced a few relatively easy passes on Saturday that resulted in Hibs attacks and unnecessary pressure. Needs a few games on the bench.

Agree. I like him but he gives the ball away far too often. McGregor looking sharper at the mo.

Is there any player in the squad who is playing as well as last season? McGregor is perhaps the only one.

Performances are notably down across the whole squad.

He did but he also had a role in 2 of the goals. I'd start him at Pittodrie.

Probably not entirely surprising that we haven't (collectively or individually) regularly hit the heights of last season when you consider what those heights were.

You also have to consider the criticism the squad/players great times last year too. Lest we forget the slumps in December, February and March. Gordon being slated, the number of folk who were happy to send Paddy back to city, Dembele's form being up and down. The last 6 weeks of the season were blissfully serene but there were spells when plenty of players were getting it thick at other times (McGregor, Armstrong, Bitton, Gordon, Dembele, Forrest, Sviatchenko).

As things stand, we are two points off the last season's league start. In another league cup final. And we've performed better and got better results in both qualifying and group CL games.

I actually think it's a good sign that no one has hit their top form yet. There's also no one's form who is greatly concerning me

Doesn't make it any less annoying. It's an ecumenical matter for many.

He worked very hard tonight - although I don't think things are just coming off for him yet. But it will come.
