I think he's in two minds about leaving...
The career path he plotted when he was a boy tells him he should leave for engurland now.
His sense of satisfaction and well being at Celtic right now says he should say.

So he's trying to play well but his brain is making him play badly so that no decent club comes in for him.
Therefore, he's staying and as soon as the deal is signed the real stuart Armstrong will return.

I'm usually £250 an hour for that..

He looks like his head has been turned and he wants away. Easier all round if we sell now.

About as useful tonight as a one-legged man in an arse-kicking contest. Could he be carrying an injury? 🤔

With the best will in the world I've always found it hard to work to my peak ability once I've handed in my notice. You can't expect the level of commitment that the manager requires to play his high energy high pressing game from a player so uncommitted. The further you go into the last year of your contract you also have no security and protection and any one heavy challenge could put you in a spot of bother making you less likely to take risks. He's reverting back to the Armstrong of one year ago. Directionless and ineffectual. Needs dropping. Could go like Forrest and he may need to prove himself all over and end up staying as his other options dry up or we might get him punted.

Played the same way tonight as he has for 3/4 of his Celtic career, cowardly.

If he is not signing a new contract and wanting a move, he should not be anywhere near the first 11 for the play off tie, we cannot have passengers in that game and we have a good few midfielders that can take his place.

Didn't see either leg so had to settle for watching on Radio Shortbreed. Is he playing like someone trying to avoid an injury ( before a transfer after qualifiers) or is he just off the pace?

Honestly? I'm not sure. Tierney in possession, looking for a pass, and Armstrong is behind the ref. Not moving. 😳

Or to just not have a stinker in the next game? Some ridiculously harsh comments.

He's been Rank for the last few games mate.

We all know how good he can be, and I have no doubt he will come back onto form again but he has been putting in the performances we were used to in RD's team.

Nothing wrong with dropping a player for a bit to give them a shake.
