Wouldn't be too worried if he does go, had a good 6 months but he's not exactly central to our squad

Really?
He had a good (not brilliant) 6 month period, before that he was pretty average. it's not as if we build a team around him
I like the guy and he's a decent player but you'd think he was Paul McStay the way some people are banging on
Don't get me wrong, I'd like him to stay because I think he can still improve but we've lost better players and survived

His goal threat and athleticism is key to how we play. Of course he is central to our squad. Doesn't mean he can't be replaced, but any centre mid who gets 17 goals is of course central to the squad.

oh come on, hes turning into a tremendous player which makes it all the more annoying its looking like hes off. Any midfielder who can score that amount of goals is always central to your team/squad

Maybe for Messi or Ronaldo, probably less so for Stuart Armstrong.

I must pop along to my nearest Unibet shop later then.

OOft!!! Roll on the pelters for you bro

That's blasphemy on here!

NB- I hope Armstrong stays great player with plenty of potential and gaffer seems to get the best out of him after being played out of position for 2 years with Ronnie & not getting a regular game. Very good player who can become a great next 2/3 years and part of a great Celtic steam. Hope you stay Stuart!

He can shoot over to Australia and try to lace McStay's boots when he has a minute. ;)

They're probably a similar level of player but McStay is in his 50s now. :dadumchhh: The veals' aff.

50 shades of wrong. :twitch:

I hope Armstrong took a good look round last night. Not that I think for a moment he's an old romantic at heart , but it's worth him noting where he is now, and where he looks to be going. If cash is indeed king Stuart, don't let it be said we didn't try to impress you.

Like to see what a brilliant 6 months looks like.

Guy got 17 goals from the middle of the park ffs.

We'll miss him.

In time he'll miss us more... if he does go.

It's widely known that McStay didn't score enough goals.

Some amount of petulant Mick Mccarthys in here! He's been excellebt for us at times but particularly last season. He's really come on and still has huge potential. Bags of energy, loves a goal, great movement and awareness. Personally I'll be gutted if he does go but i'll wish him well knowing his new team have signed a cracking player. Fingers still crossed he signs though!!

Armstrong scored (1 goal every 201 minutes)
Rogic scored 13 (1 goal every 184 minutes of game time) last season despite missing 3 months of it. While he nominally plays a bit further forward than Armstrong, it was Armstrong who largely filled that role with McGregor (who scored 7 himself: 1 goal every 384minutes) hanging a bit further back.
