armstrong more of a seasoned pro but miller ran lyon ragged in that cl game (and did really well in anor) miller should have stayed and armstrong should stay too wee fergus had one of his favourite sayings for this about stars which iirc he used around time of simon donnelly departure
What was the saying? "All these fuds get ideas above their station, chase the money at shampooe teams, and inevitably do eff all. Celtic carry on as before, no great loss. Arseholes."
Something like that.

It was a line from 'Do You Know The Way To San Jose'
And all the stars that never were are washing cars and..... shampoo I can't remember the rest

I'd maybe give this some credence if I could find a market anywhere for his next club.
Incidentally, in looking for that I see VVD is 5/2 against remaining with Southampton with Liverpool 4/7 favourites to sign him.
If VVD leaves and Armstrong does go there we'll be getting the best part of £20M from them I would think.

£10 million for a player who's only given his very best for the club in the last 6/7 months? I smell pish, but if it's crazy enough to be true, I'd drive him down myself, despite how sorry I'd be to see him go.
The longer this rumbles on, the wiser it seems to just cash in now rather than risk getting zilch when his contract's up.

This thread's like a scab. You can't resist picking at it to see if it's getting better, but by doing so you end up back exactly where you started.
Except perhaps nourished by munching on said picked scab.

£10m is a great deal (if true).
Go now Stuarty (or at least after qualifiers). Best wishes.

We could have got to someone who had been to an acid house party with the pope in less moves.

Can you not walk into a bookie and request a price? Yeah but no bookie would lay £100 at any kind of price on a bet like that.
I suppose it could be that he's bet someone he knows £100 that it will happen.
