Really feel like he's being played out of position, clear as day that he's not a wide player, doesn't have the pace or dribbling ability for it. Last time I remember him setting up a goal from that position was up at pittodrie last year. Having said that he doesn't look great in the 10 role either.... where did he play for united?

In any case his form confidence is out and Allan should be in ahead.

He played on the left for Dundee Utd, though has played on the right and in the middle as well.
The season before he joined us he played wide left, hasn't spotted people continually stating that he's played out of position.
He's not, just playing unbelievably shampooe right now.

Anonymous again, Stokes was better last season. I wouldn't even have Armstrong on the bench atm.

Agreed. Wants rid of the ball as quickly as possible.

Time for a "rest".

No doubt he's off form but I firmly believe that there is a player in there. He may make more impact coming off the bench. He also needs the supporters to get behind him - I'm sure he's well aware that his contributions are not of the level required at the moment.

We saw last season that he's a player but he's been poor all season.

He was applauded off the pitch despite doing nothing today.

He really is hiding. You can tell it isn't a case of ability because he's shirking responsibility all the time. He's not contributed in long time.

Absolutely awful again.

He's getting worse every game he plays.

Looks like he's bulked up in his upper body but looks a lot less mobile. Don't buy the out of position line. He's been played in no.10 spot on a number of occasions and he's been anonymous there too.

Couldn't bring myself to applaud him as he came off.

Had spent all afternoon telling everyone around us that he should be replaced.

How he lasted on the pitch as long as he did is baffling.

Woeful - even when the rest of the team were doing well - it's like playing a man short.

Ryan Christie will take his place on the left, Armstrong will need to find a place in the centre.

Seen small glimpses of a player last season and I really wanted him to be a star for us but he has been really poor all season. I think he tends to get away with more than other players on for some reason? Needs to be dropped then try and earn his way back into the starting 11

I think he's lacking in confidence big time. I agree though that he needs a "rest".

Far more hopeful of him turning it around than GMS.

Agreed. He is playing with no confidence or belief at the moment, but given what we saw at United and for us last season, he is a far better player than the one we are watching at the moment. A wee bit of time out and a No1 haircut might help.
