We've got a work hingmy coming up in the fairly near future that he'll be at; fear not, if he hasn't signed the new contract by then, I'll get him sorted out!

Tierney is consistently outstanding against high level opposition. Locked onto Oxlade and phasing out his run perfectly, when Armstrong blocks Tierney allowing the attacker to shape and shoot "round the corner" through the gap for the first. The second is illustrative of the insipid laconic arrogance that I associate with British suit salesmen. Couldn't summon one quarter the intensity of his team mates.
Came in here to say hope he signs a new contract but aside from anything else, this a complete misuse of the word 'laconic'.

Think laconic is spot on here - essentially, not saying much. So yer man thinks that suit salesmen are arrogant, wimpish gits that aren't interested in you (demonstrated by their laconic style of dialogue) - works for me!

Insipid arrogance isn't something you come across very often, right enough!

I've never met a suit salesman who hasn't gibbered in my ear explaining drops and materials. Just make me look like James Bond.

There isn't a suit on the planet that could achieve that outcome for me :(

Stuart, on the other hand....

Aye, it was the context that made it seem wrong.

I'm sure Stuart Armstrong would appreciate this wee diversion in the chat.

Invite him to one of yours and Stevo's "quizzes" and make sure he's on your team.

That should tip the balance in our favour :)

 Aye, his share of a £25 bar voucher every week (should either of us be fortunate enough to win the quiz, of course - and with the bold Stuart on the team, the chances would be greatly increased!) would be sure to swing it!

He's on holiday so probably won't be any movement until he's back.

Does it seem quiet to you because they haven't been negotiating via the tabloids ?
