Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
McGregor retains possession a lot better than Armstrong. He's also sharper, has better movement and plays with his head up. All things Armstrong struggles with.
Nonsense.

Maybe, just maybe, good technical players are ruined at this club? No, couldn't be that. You're talking about a club that had an absolute genius of a player with no pace and strength and stuck him on the touchline. Neymar would look like a dud here.
 Armstrong was utter garbage, like he has been for a while now. McGregor was better than him tonight, far better.

Rotten again. Showed good spells last season, but humdrum for most of it and I just chalked it down to Him settling in.

No excuses this season. Major letdown.

Watch the game and see.
I did. I didn't see anything from Armstrong that was worse than what the guys I previously mentioned produced. Rogic is slower than a week in the jail both physically and mentally. GMS and his pointless stepovers. Forrest and his complete and utter ineffectiveness.

He's been garbage all season, I don't deny that. I just don't see why he's the only one that's copping the criticism when they've all been rotten all season and all were tonight.

Armstrong's a player that would do much better in a side that actually plays decent football. We aren't one of those sides. Hence why criticism is shampoo like "he hid" because folk perceive his ineffectiveness to be cowardice when really we're just not a side that allows player like that to flourish.

Ryan Christie's a brilliant wee player. Watch him when he comes here. I guarantee the same shampoo is spouted about him too.

I thought McGregor was decent. I agree about Rogic and GMS though. Both hopeless tonight.

I'm not so sure Armstrong is a 'good, technical' player anymore though.

I liked him when we signed him but his performances have been very poor. He's always blowing out his a*** after 45 mins as well.

For me McGregor does all those things I mentioned a lot better. He can do things at speed. His control is better as his retention of the ball.

Armstrong has been slow, lethargic, soft and, technically, poor.

For what it's worth, I think you have a point about certain types of players struggling to flourish in our team.

I wasn't intending to single Armstrong out.

GMS was very poor also and Forrest was frustrating.

Rogic doesn't appear good enough either - as you say, too slow.

Who at Celtic isn't blowing out of their arse after 45 minutes though? Clearly that's an issue that the management team either bizarrely can't see or stubbornly refuse to. I suspect the latter.

I think he's still technically good. I just think he's wasted here. There's no movement in the side. The tempo in our build up is tedious and doesn't allow for good football. What can he actually offer under those conditions that shouldn't already be offered to the team by those behind him?

Looked like his dug had just been put down in the post match interview. Don't know if it was a ruse to give the impression he really cares.

88 mins, Armstrong, with Boyata and Jozo in the box takes a short corner. He's like a rabbit caught in the headlights playing for Celtic, has not got the mentality to play for us.
