Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Anyone with a decent knowledge of Football could see that Stuart was a talented player, but he seemed to lack confidence and belief in himself to play at Celtic, and playing wide didn't help that. But, Brendan has instilled that belief and confidence in him and also added a tougher edge to his game that he required to play in Central Midfield.

Armstrong is a prime example of a player who could quite easily had a career of mediocrity without the guidance and management of a top coach like Brendan.
Totally agree about your last point. Last season he looked like he couldn't handle it and was destined to be the type of player that would be a main man for Aberdeen or similar after a stint in English lower leagues.

He has thrived under Brendan and looks like a totally different player - my suspicion is that he sees his long term future down in England but I hope he signs an extension just now.

He's been integral to the team this year but if he's not gonna sign he should be punted for as much as we can get.
He's still a young guy, I think he'll be here for the 10

Eh? That's just a flat out lie.
It's an exaggeration yes, but a number of people simply wouldn't accept playing him centrally would improve his performances.

Anyone who did was shot down with the Dundee Utd line.
He has been playing much better in a central role this season, that however doesn't change the fact that in the 18 months prior to signing him he had been playing off the left for Dundee Utd

I think that twice this season (at least) he was substituted against the Huns and twice they then scored. Hope he stays.

The Griffiths for Armstrong sub in the 1-1 game was a real strange one, we completely lost our shape after it. Although Griffiths was robbed of a penalty.

He's going nowhere.

I'd be astounded, if he left.

Already said if he does leave it will be for the European football not staying in Britain.
It's become a cliche but he would be a great signing for a German side.
would be good for a team like Werder Bremen, swap deal with Delaney Luca? ;)

Wasn't strange at all. He signalled to the bench straightaway that he tweaked his calf having went in for a challenge, Rodgers subbed him immediately.

Correct.

Eboue's performance against Dundee the week after justified why he didn't put him on instead of Griffiths.

Heart of the team for years to come  He's looked like a completely different person this season and fully deserves a POTY nomination. I really didn't think he had what it takes to play centre midfield for a team like Celtic, but there he is, linking the game up and turning into a bit of a no-nonsense ball-winner at times this season too :boxer: I know it's daft, but he actually looks about two foot taller now than he did last season  there's the power of confidence for you.

Griffiths as his replacement was strange. They were starting to play well and we still had Jozo, Gamboa and Eboue on the bench. Throwing a striker on was a poor decision and it cost us. One of the managers few mistakes this season.

We also had Gamboa and Jozo on the bench. At that stage in the game, no way should we have been throwing on a striker for a MF. One of the few mistakes the manager has made this season.

Loved the more aggressive nature to his game tonight.

Didn't let the sheep boss him about, stood up to their hammer throwers.

Definite captain material.
