I hope the Hun who tried to hit him with a golf ball gets a better range from his driver than he did from that pathetic throw.
When was this?
Just after Jozo cleans up Miller. Watch on and some clown throws a golf ball out the Copeland Road stand.

Is it too early to say Stuart Armstrong and Paul McStay in the same sentence?
You never saw Paul McStay play did you?

Did he ever sign that new contract? :ponder: His turnaround, along with Boyata, has been nothing short of remarkable this season

Brighton are a similar sized club to Burnley who, since being promoted a year ago, have spent £13 million on Robbie Brady and £10.5 million on Jeff Hendrick. They might be no-mark clubs but, like the Chinese superleague teams, they have money to burn. That said, I'd be very surprised to see Armstrong leave this summer.

Brighton are a bigger club than Burnley, with more affluent fans.
TV money will see them safe in the top flight for years to come.

Depends how wisely they spend this summer. As Newcastle have shown, even giant clubs who play in front of 50,000 people are in danger of relegation if they mess up in the transfer market. Brighton haven't spent huge money to get into the league so it's a totally different market they'll now be dealing in. It's easy to squander £20 or £30 million on duds. Hope they do well though.

I think he'd be crazy to want away. He's in top form in a team that's setup perfectly for his style of play. If he moves to a side that will probably struggle next season then I wouldn't be surprised if his form takes a massive drop. Hopefully we give him a lengthy new deal and put all these rumours to bed.

I am slightly concerned about the contract situation. A couple of months ago when Gordon was negotiating we got little bits of info from Brendan along the lines of the deal being close, only a few minor things to sort out etc etc quite regularly. With Armstrong it seems to have gone very quiet, obviously I hope I am completely wrong.

They have a super little stadium as well. Pushing 30,000 most home games.

Possibly been focussed on pitch last few weeks, hopefully some time now to sort. If Brighton (or others) want him, let's see a large wedge of your TV money.

Seriously? The affluence of fans is a determinant in staying the EPL? Brighton are bigger than Burnley?

Brighton is twice the size of Burnley and has no competitor clubs within 40 miles (palace are their derby rivals ffs!). In the same radius, Burnley have Manchester, Leeds, Preston, Blackburn, Bolton, Wigan, Bradford, Huddersfield, Blackpool and almost Liverpool and Sheffield.
Average attendance this year: Brighton - 28,000; Burnley - 20,500.
Seasons spent on top league? Bet you Burnley win that hands down.
Domestic honours? Bet you Burnley win that hands down too.

I have no interest in either team but you're comparing apples and oranges.

#Pedantrycsc

PS: someone told me statistically Burnley are the best supported club in the U.K. attracting over 25% of the local population to games and over 50% to Wembley.
