My only minor doubt is that his form might be a one season wonder (think Petta and Izzy); hopefully not.
Izzy?

Stefan Johansen would be more appropriate.
Izzy was fantastic his first season, got player of the year iirc. Linked with Man United, Everton, Liverpool as well as Barcelona at one point

So yes a 1 season wonder.
One season wonder ? What a load of total bolox.

So good that he can be a one season wonder midway through the season.

Izzy was never the same after the sheep hacked him. He's been a steady player for us since without living up to the initial fabulousness.

Armstrong has simply grown into the club under a manager who knows what to do with him. Hopefully he'll keep getting better and I don't see why not.

I think Izzy was totally underrated in NL's final season. Thought he was even better and more consistent than in his first season with us.

When Dembele hit the bar I couldn't understand wtf Armstrong was actually doing as he runs away from the action - had he ran more central he could easily have scored from a Sinclair cut back - I was pretty annoyed tbh.

Then I realised he was running to celebrate with Moussa

Watch it again -

Armstrong
I was hoping for Sinclair to cut that one back too - I didn't realise Armstrong had run away to celebrate
I don't think Sinclair was ever cutting that back anyway.

Yeah! Armstrong running to celebrate is as funny as F........not very noticeable at first as he seems to be running away from the action.

Ends up looking daft!

We will agree to disagree.

Edit. I know Burley wouldn't be behind the striker. That's cause he's a 10 not an 8.
And Armstrong's a 10 not an 8:thumbsup:
Rodgers said: “Stuart has been absolutely brilliant in the last few months. He has really grown into that role of how I would ask the number eight to play and his game play has been sensational."
